me too, I went out and bought all of the gear, and apparently live like 2 miles from one of the best trout streams in Maine , but I'm a little intimidated, all of the pro sponsored trout guys are always out there doing their thing
Dont be intimidated everyone knows your going to f it up ur first time like i always tell people im trying to teach use a bait caster lol and believe it or not i want to fly for bass and/or pickerel then pike

Can't wait to do some fishing this spring and summer. Might give fly fishing a try. What are you folks into??? Moving west I would love to catch some salmon or trout. Here I mostly catch bluegill , bass , and catfish.
I live in northern California. Lake Berryessa is about an hour away from me. Clear lake is about 2 hours away from me. Loads of lakes, ponds, creeks, Reservoirs, and rivers.

Bass, bass, and striped bass. The occasional sturgeon when I'm fishing for striped bass.

Big fan here. Go out a couple times a week.

I’m not sure about this. Has anyone eaten sturgeon?
I used keep a sturgeon here and there but for the most part catch and release. Very rich meat, not really my thing. Fun AF to catch though. I’ve caught a good 300+. It’s all I used to fish for, at least in the delta, for years.
