I went fishing last Friday and caught 2 nice rainbows which we ate for supper.
It's the first time I've gone fishing since I had the heart attack in January- it felt good getting back to some semblance of normalcy
So you too are I assume missing salt on your fish lol. Just spent 8 days in the cardiac unit with blood clots :(. Thought I was the picture of health till the I got back from Mexico lol. I spent an hour in the ice shack the afternoon I got out contemplating life ;).

Sorry to hear that and hope you're gonna be okay my friend
My problem wasn't due to blood clots, the lower part of my aorta tore internally (dissected aorta) and was repaired with a dacron graft. I was in surgery for 5 hours. I'm not under any dietary restrictions and not on any meds although I was told to go easy on the salt. I like to use a seasoning called "Spike" on trout, which does have a bit of salt in it but is strongly-flavored so you don't have to use much of it

Well no salt for me lol. I had/have arterial fibrillation which was brought on by too much drinking on my last vacation so they say lol.

Should be any day now that I pull the bow off the wall and head out for carp ........ wooo fucking hooo. I’ll try and get a few videos up but it’s one of my favourite spring activities :).
I've wanted to give that a go for a while now, looks like fun. With the right amount of beer and buddies, I'm sure it could become a national sport, lol.

There are a few up in Quebec where there are actual villages on the ice. My neighbor rents out 3 shacks and there full every weekend for 2 months, great extra money he uses to go on hunting trips in the fall.
Well, let's just say that I live in an area where our summers are on the opposite end of the spectrum of Canada's winters. Barely ever snows down here and when it does it rarely sticks. To me, those shacks, let alone a working pub, is a novelty. I'd love to visit up north and see/do things like that. Very cool to me.
