Its has a cool tube that can be used in the middle.
I have used the volksgarden on 2 different grows, Not cannabis though. I grew Strawberrys and soybeans. I used only Flora nova grow and bloom. My results were not so great.

I'll post the pics of the soybeans results, Although they are not a good reference. I made about every mistake you could make when growing the soybeans.
It was my first hydroponic grow. This system is not for a beginner.

One Thing that became a problem was that the plants would often get caught on rotating parts, pulling the plants completely out of the rockwool. Also the leaves that might get ripped off or fall off would also clog the drain up. That was a hassle.

Here are the results from the soil grow going on right beside the volksgarden. Under the same power light (400w mh/hps).

This was my first hydroponic grow, soybeans and this system do not mix well. That was a foolish choice on my part. You can see how bad this grow was, here is a pic of the reservoir i was using. Fully open on the top, only held about 12 gallons, clear sides, and the water was pretty warm. I kept my ph at around 6 and my PPM was all over the map.

So my soybeans in the hydro system were bad, Oh well, So i tried again.
This time i used Ever Bearing Strawberrys. I fixed up my act on this grow.
Got a bigger reservoir (25 gallons) that i could shield off from light.
Air pump and air stone
I also only used HPS lights on 12/12.
And hydrogen Peroxide

Take a close look at the plants, You will notice they have white spots on their leaves. This is from the soaked rockwool dripping back onto the plants.

I also did a soil grow next to the volksgarden as well. I also did a green house grow.

In the end, Would i suggest the volksgarden to anyone?
Yes and No!
The volksgarden is great for starting a ton of plants. It holds nearly 80 plants, but at full capacity it would be Very crowded.
Also the height restriction. you are limited to what you could grow, Big plants will be a big pain in this type of system. I wish i could have compared the volksgarden with another hydroponic system.
From what i can see, the constant rotating probably stresses plants more than helps them.
This machine has a pretty big price tag to. If it was my money, i wouldn't spend it on this.

I am by no means a expert grower, but i learned a lot from the volksgarden.

These were my results, a first time hydroponic grower. Someone who knows what they are doing might have better results.
