first timer--anyone have feedback?

never thought of it. i havbe a brand new g1 with a touch screen security feature though. you have to use the touchscreen and draw a custom pattern on a 4x4 grid to unlock the phone. if you turn it off and back on it still wont let you in. so i think i am safe.

plus i would NEVER ok a search no matter what! And my phone is set to save pica to the phone memory, not the card. Rep+ tho because I am all about gettin tips regarding safety!

Day Thirty-Six

Ok people I have tons of new pics up!

Check out my new grow room setup. Still kinda weak, but better!

I have pics of my new light specs, nice close ups of the plants, their main steps, my soil, etc, etc!

Notice on plant#3 top view, there is some yellowing on all of the new growth tips, anyone know why? There is a generally yellowing of all my leaf tips, I am not sure why...

Well I transplanted and watered all three plants with SuperThrive only. I am getting ready to foilier feed with 1/8 concentration FoxFarm Grow Big. I plan to do this once per week while in veg, in addition to using foxfarm and superthrive every other watering. Still 20/4 light/dark cycle.

My plants are from 10-13". #1 is 10", #2 is 12.5", and #3 is 13"

Well I have worked hard getting all of these pics together and stuff for you guys please take a look and give me a :leaf:

how did u get those branches like that did u top or pinch or what?
ya #3 plant did have that set of all yellow
this was happening to my plant i could figure why my ph was good maybe ur over ferting it or a lockout did u try molassis? for the sulphur.

thanks bro! how i got my branches like that....
1. i believe it is an indica dominate strain, which accounts for some of the structure.
2. i have used nothin but 5200k and above cfl's for vegging. this color spectrum as i am sure you know, is blue and encourages bushiness.
3. i have kept the cfl's VERY close to the top of the plants. i move them two or three times a day so i can get them within an inch without burning the plants. this also encourages bushy plants.
4. when the plants were 25 days old i fimmed them. it stunted their growth vertically but it more than made up for it in the horizontal, bushiness of the plant! i have also used some lst to get the big fan leaves out of the way so the new tops can get light and bush out.
5. i started using MG soil. while it sucks because of the time releasing N harming the flowering cycle, the copious amount of N, in my humble opinion, has given the plant a ton of vegetative energy. all these combined have contributed to the structure!

never thought of molasses. whats the logic there exactly?

the molassis is for like sulphur def and i heard that it gives the bud better taste too
i dont know the really detail about it but if u ask around i hair alot of people use it
to help thier plants
when u said femming what is that
i have seeds from the street like when u go buy a bag of arizona or some mids what kinda plant is that indica or what? i want to make that nice and bushy
i have a bunch of cfl's like 4 daylight 1s. and i have a bunch of the other kind for flowering the day light ones equal up to 100w each so its like 20something each so all together like 400w worth of daylight

Here is a link on fimming. Go to the very first post and read from there. Has everything you need.

As for getting an indica strain, the only way to know for sure if you know what strain you have and if its indica or sativa. Indica will tend to have broader leaves and stay short whereas sativas have narrow leaves and tend to grow taller. Typically commerical growers in the west favor indica because it is more adapted to grow indoors.

As for light, its important to know the spectrum. The higher the spectrum, the better for beg. Opposite for flowering. This is a rough definition however. 5000-7000k light spectrum is blue and promotes lush, green vegetation and it good for veg. 2700 or so is best for flowering, red, orangeish light. What is the k (kelvin) temp of your lights?

and i have 1 of those tube florecent lights in the droor that says 10000k on it
that should be good huh?

I did look at the pics in your album. It looks like your lights need to be closer to your plants. They are stretching up towards it from what I see...

How far away from the plant are the lights? Be pretty specific...

Also, how far from the light can you feel heat with your hand? 1 inch, 2? Be REALLY specific here.

What brand of nutes are you using?

I think you are just doing TOO MUCH with your grow man. Changing soil, changing the light positions, etc. Keep it simple that's what I have learned.

Try to think of your grow room as an environment. You are trying to create the ideal conditions for your plant to grow. It does so on its own, its a WEED!

So tell me how many hours of day if light, what nutes?

What kind of water? Etc

i have a 18/6 cycle all the time
when i had the old soil i watered it when it was dry or almost dry i fingered it to make sure.
i didnt feed those plants really at all i would say around 3 or 4 times in its hole life
1 time i gave it 2 diff kinds of food thoe 1 in the water mixed and 1 i threw on the soil andi watered it with that mix.and when things really started to get worse i went to the bathtub and put it under the tub foset filled the pot up with that water then i let it drain and then i did it once more and let it drain to both plants then i just let them sit in the light and they were still geting worse so then i just went and got new soil and new nutes so i repoted the smaller plant with new soil and a new pot.and he biger plant i just cut down and made a clone out of it i used the roottone with the 45 cut
and put it in the new soil now its under the light and thats it i dont know if i should feed the small plant that i repoted or just leave alone for now .im confused.
i even have made a new grow station in my nightstand so more light could go to them all wensday im going to get more stuff like superthrive and lights and i dont know what else.the new plant food i got now is schultz 10-15-10 plant food plus micronutrients
it says. is that good to use? when should i start?it says 1/8 teaspoon per quart of water everytme u water.in my hournal some one wrote me saying dont give it the ful dose of the nutes gi it a 1/4 or something then work my way up.and he said how much to put in a gallon of water. now i have the ph testers.im confused i dont want to lose this plant

is it weird that they would show sex at 37 days old under 20 hours of light per day!

checked it out, looks like you're doing great. one note, you may be seeing stipules (sp?) instead of pistils. stipules grow before the plant sexes and are green. pistils are white and form when sexing, either naturally if you have an auto flowering strain or when you switch to 12/12 lighting.

no i am positive they are tiny white hairs sticking straight out of the preflower that sits just behind the stipule. i am sure its not the stipule i have done my homework and read and reread all the sexing grow faqs. i am 95% confidant they are female and i still have the light on 20 hours a day!

another update: went and got two 27 watt cfl's from HD today. blue light spectrum. that ups me to 174 watts of 5200k and above cfl light, all within an inch or two of my plants!
