First time growing, went a little overboard with defoliation. Never expected my girls to do this

I did this once and not nearly as bad.. They were sent into shock.. Which made them grow more crystals.. But it stunted growth terribly.. The buds came out nice but small and just.. Not what I wanted.. I def won't ever do it again Thats for sure.. The fan leaves are there for a reason.. Keep them let them do their job!!

Removing leaves does not help light make buds bigger. The light passes through the leaves in different spectrums differently and the leaves are arranged to make the most of it.

Harvesting plant still with all leaves intact.

She was in the flower room 13.5 weeks and her leaves look a bit rough but only a few leaves were lost during her cycle.

Here is after we removed the fan leaves.

I hope this shows that the buds don't need fan leaves removed to flourish.

Stable hospitable environment with adequate horticultural lighting.

Good dry cycle. Amended base soil to fend off early deficiencies. Good transplanting practices. Veg to maturity. And a complete 1 part fertilizer to Use in flower when the soil is depleted. And un-ph'd well water.

Patience to not chop until the plant is truly finished and not starve the plant while stacking buds.

And good genetics. Although everyone else's I am trying are stacking pretty nice too. They came recommended and that is important.
