First time grow.

This is my first ever grow. My plants are 17 days old and they seem to be very short but very full. Do these look ok and if so when would they get taller?

They could be heavier Indica, that would explain the height. The blurple makes it hard to tell the true color of the plants but they look good and on track for 17 days. I would recommend topping and LST.

If they are an auto flowers in potting soil you’re doing fine. Be patient. Here is a picture of one of my purple lemonade autos in soil under 100watt led at 10 days. Looked very similar to yours at 17 days. People will say don’t top autos but I have gotten higher yields every time I have.
