First time grow. usin flouros and clfs

So this is my first grow attempt. hoping for the best.

using seeds from my friends bud so dont really know the strain nor the type (was hoping for a good sativa at the beginning but now its looking more indica)

lights: two T12 GE plant & aquarium florescent lights with one cool white 20W clf and one regular 23W clf.

started germination with about 15 seeds on jan 10th.
got just about 14 of them to sprout but only kept 7 of the 14 that sprouted.
the pictures will tell the rest of the story.....

haha k so i totally got distracted when i made this thread. but i got some time now so here it goes, a brief overview in pictures of my grow up to current day....

Feb 1st.

this is two days after i transplanted them from the cups to the pots that they remained in for the rest of the grow.

i also hooked up the large fluoros here.
it should also be noted that i got rid of two plants and of the 7 that were kept, there are 5 remaining.

when i said 5 left i really meant 6 in total but 5 healthy ones. there was one weakling (kinda like the runt of the pact that was kept just to see how it would grow in comparison to the others.

nothing new for this day, just more growth. only one plant pictured here....


Feb 7th

Here one plant is pictured twice. I had gotten rid of the weakest two plants again and am from the 5 survivors (6 in total counting the runt) to 4 strong plants.

Feb 9th.

More strong growth. all four pictured here but the last one is off color. the smell started to get bad at this point so i enlisted the aid of some odor removing gels from bed, bath, & beyond.

Feb 12th.

So the smell got really bad and i wasnt sure what to do so along with the fact that the plants were growing very fast and wide, i decided to remove another plant. also, one was really shooting up more than the others so i decided to experiment LST with it. wasnt that great of a success but learned much and there is more documented evidence later on.....

Feb 15th

So here are some pictures of my LST experiment. as you can see the plant got very lanky so figured it was the right one to experiment with.

more growth. this was before i fiddled with my camera more and figured out that i have a flower zoom section.....

Feb 19th

started flowering 12/12 cycle on the 20th but dont have any pics from then and the 23rd so this is what ive got....

nothing new here, just more growth.

Feb 26th

so between the 8th and 26th, alot happened....
on the 28th of Feb, i declared two of the plants to be female (the two that i didnt LST) and was yet to confirm on the third plant whether it was male or female.....

then after coming back from a week break on the 8th (my friend watered them while i was gone), i found the plants wilted with dry soil but not in bad condition. after a good watering, they were perky in no time...

also, when i got back from the break, i had confirmed the third plant that was being LSTed to be a male and after some documentation, got rid of the plant.....

anyway, here are some pics

March 3rd

This day i added a 2nd 23W cfl lamp to help with flowering. lots of improvement in the trich size and density....still havnt figured out the flower setting on the camera.

March 10th

I finally figured out my camera had different settings and was so pleased with the results that i forgot to take pics of overall plant size. but got nice bud shots.....

March 16th

lots of wonderful growth now. got a few good bud shots but posted the best two and finally remembered to take a pic of overall plant growth

March 19th

got more good bud shots. but again not much on overall growth. picked up a $5 microscope with 10x magnification but it didnt do much that my camera didnt do even when coupled with the camera......

March 22nd

the buds are finally filling in and the trichs are increasing in number exponentially.....

March 23rd

got some good cola shots this day. the "snow" is starting to become evidently visible when not close to the buds....
