i have my cfl pretty close to my plants. they actually hang down from the top and sit right on top kind at an angle to the light hits the sides 2. but they are deff closer than 3 inches, on some leafs just a few centimeters, maybe ill raise them up juss a bit, the plants are nice and bushy anyways. And i juss started nutes last sat and they got their first feeding witch i over did, i been trying to water them every 3 days but after i relized the over nute, next day (sunday i think) i gave them a little reg water to try to delute the nutes in the soil i guess. and then i didnt feed water again until wed... they have been lookin kinda droopy i dunno if its cuz over nute or over water... but im debating weather i should feed them nutes again this weekend... And by the way i juss started using fox farm grow big for veg. i looked for that MG nutes that u have but wasent able to find it at walmart so i went with fox farm from hydro store...

At long last, I have snapped about 35 new pics for all of you this morning! Tomorrow (Friday the 31st) will be exactly 2 months (8 weeks) of flowering and day number 91 overall. ITS ALMOST TIME FOR HARVEST!

One of the three White Widows we have is nearly ready and the other two are about a week behind her. Cowgirl In The Soil will be our first to be taken down and today was the first cutting! There was a weighted down branch on her side that was breaking, so I clipped it, cut it, hung er' to dry, see the pics.

Also in the pics check out a couple of thigns for me and give me some feedback. Check the small female pistils on the pics of the little clones. They seem to have appeared a whole lot earlier in veg state this time around than they did the first time from seed, is this normal? Also please check out the close ups of the buds I snapped and let me know when you think when they're ready! Suggested flower time for most White Widow strains is 8 weeks, and we are at 8 tomorrow. Definetly need another week for Aunt Mary and Girly, but Cowgirl looks close.

Enough of me blabbering, enjoy the pics, the next ones will be posted after harvest! Also in this group of pics I put the plants next to a kitchen chair so you're able to see approx. how tall each of them stand. Approx 2 1/2 - 3 feet.. They're all within an inch or so of each other height wise, but Cowgirl In The Soil has substantially more side growth and is by far looking like she will be our biggest producer.

Enjoy! Leave some feedback!

The day has come! This morning we took down our first plant ever! Cowgirl In The Soil, as we named her, was prime and a little bit ahead of her sister's but was ready to come down! Cowgirl I believe was our biggest of the 3, with significantly more sidegrowth than the other 2.

The other 2 probably have another 5 to 7 days left. Check out pics from our first ever CFL Grow Harvest!

The harvest went well for our first time. We have watched so many how to videos on what to do, we were comfortable going in to the trimming process and whatnot. We saved all of our THC soaked leaves and will be using them to make hash. You'll see the pic of them all in the bowl. The cola off Cowgirl was equal to the size of a paper towel roll in height. its like a big ganja pillow and is about an inch longer and significantly fatter than the roll.

These pics are for the CFL haters out there who say you can't grow good bud with CFL lights!

More to come!

Thanks for your opinion man, its much appreciated. We are afterall, still first timers and are learning as we go. with the research that we collected and judging by how the plant looked we decided to bring her down. About 60% of her hairs were red and looked prime and ready to go.

We will try leaving the other two that are still in there an extra week or so and see what kinda turn out we get.

Thanks again! Any comments appreciated!

Everything is lookin' good. Day 6 of the harvested plant hanging in its drying area resulted in them being ready to be put into their air tight jars and let the curing process begin. We have two large mason like air tight jars to put the buds from this first plant into. See the pics below of the jars of goodness.

The other 2 plants are doing absolutely spectacular and are still flowering more. I looked in this morning to give them some water and noticed how much wider the top colas have become in just a few days. We are thinking of leaving them in for another week or so as there is still plenty of more room for growth and red hairs.

The buds we have put in the jars I plan on leaving there for a couple of weeks or so. I have been checking it every few hours and opening the lid up, releasing the air inside and letting the top stay off for a few minutes while the buds breathe. I've been taking them out gently and putting them back in the jars in a different order to let them all circulate properly. Good god the jars smell good. Within days we will be sampling our own shit for the first time! I've read that a lot of guys will leave their stuff in the jars for months to cure, as the longer you leave it, the better it apparently becomes, but I'm not that patient at this point!!

Check out the pics, check back for more this weekend of the 2 plants left and the growth of our clones! They are only about a week away from entering their flower box!

You want to leave them for 2 weeks minimum for a minimum cure. I go for 4 weeks and i REALLY notice a difference from 1 week cure to 4 weeks and a different high and i crack mine up every second day to take a little smell hehe=] Good Job Bro:weed:

Hey guys, checkin' in with a quick update for you and some new pics of harvested buds. Total weight for pant number one after drying and one week of cure was 54.2 grams, just shy of the 2 oz mark!

2 of the 3 plants have been taken down and harvested, with our first having been sampled last night for the 1st time after curing for about a week and a half. The second plant we took down and harvested on Sunday night, see the pics attached of them hanging. Left it about a week longer than the first plant and its worked out nicely. The buds on the 2nd plant seemed to be a bit fuller than the first plant we took down a week earlier. The 3rd plant which is still in the grow box is thicker and fuller than both of the other plants, and still appears to be producing more flower. Her white hairs far outnumbers her red ones at this point, so we still have her in there until she darkens up some more. See the pics of the bigger plant still in the box to check out her current looks...

The first of our smoke was tremendous. I cured for about a week and a half and reached in to the jar last night to sample my first bud ever of my own crop! The herb busted up nicely in the grinder, coming out all fluffy and crystally. It burned nice and slow in Ziggy whites with no tobacco added. The taste was smooth and not harsh or throat burning at all. The high was a great combination of a body high and brain fucker. Whole body relaxed, mind in a haze. I would give it a solid 8 out of 10. We get some good weed in my area and if I got this shit from a local, I'd be very impressed with it and would return for more. Its scary to think the other 2 plants look even better, can't wait to burn some of that!

Check out the pics from this morning. You can also se now the 2 clones from the first plant we harvested (Cowgirl in the Soil) which have just entered flower cycle. They were put into the 12 and 12 light after spending about 5-6 weeks vegging in 18/6. They look healthy and have just received their first batch of Miracle Gro nutes.
