I am going to visit the Hydro store (80min round trip), i'd like to not forget anything. I'll start by listing what i'm trying to do followed by what i've got and then by what i think i need . :-o

Plan is a semi stealth grow, two plants Scrog, mini bubbleponic system, CFL grow.

Lets see what i've got...

  • Bulbs/fixtures
  • seeds
  • mylar
  • air pump tubing and airstones
  • buckets
  • timers
  • ventilation
  • siphon

What i think i need
  • net pots
  • nutes
  • PH tester
  • PH up/down
  • growing media stuff

So how about it guys, see any must haves that i am missing? please feel free to ask me anything as well!

thanks in advance

Here is a tip. Hydro stores know us growers. You just cant come out and say weed. So say tamatos. Then you can almost talk openly. Just never say tamato and bud at the same time. By US law they have to stop sell. So say your growing tamatos and instead of buds say frute. We all know the truth. So do the cops but can't do anything on a hunch, or the case is droped.

You will MOST LIKELY never need pH up! The Bluelab pH pen is very useful tool. I have used one for a long time on my reef aquarium. It's idiot proof which for ME is perfect!!!

sounds good warlock, i friend of mine had mentioned to refer to whatever i am growing as tomato's if i had to. I think i'll be in better shape than my last 2 grows, where i used 4-1-1 fish emulsion the whole grow, never ph'd the water. I also was unable to drain the res so it sat in a dirty bucket the whole time.

CFL is good for the first 1-2weeks of growth, but I would recommend getting a 400watt system with a 400watt MH and HPS light bulb.

I have went the CFL route and the plants had small buds and were super stringy. You can grow with CFL forsure, but a nice 400watt will do wonders!

Ok, so i can drop 200 on a nice PPM/PH meter.

CFL's are a must for me, i do use highish wattage cfl's though from 55-70's actual watt bulbs.

how many of those cfl's will u use???
As many as I need to, last grow I was able to surround the plant pretty well with 9, although that was a lst'd lil bush. This time I am gonna try scrog, so we will see how many it takes to light up the whole screen.
