First Time ever Growing/ Went with Qt and DP

Hello All,

Firat time growing. Went with Qt and Dp had 10/10 germination on the Qt and 9/10 on the Dp. I lost 1 Dp out the gate so have 8 of the Dp left. The Qt is approx 4 weeks-5 weeks old and the Dp was started about 2 weeks later as i was undecided if i should attempt so many on the first go. All organic, water with RO/DI water and compost tea twice a month. thanks for looking. I'll keep this updated as the season continues I'm located with Central valley Ca.

Photo update everythign is going good . The weather around Sac town has been crazy. Not sure

how that has affected the plants but they are growing. The larger of the plants are The Qrazy Train which i have 3 confirmed females and 1 with

the cooler nights has ben throwing some purplish new growth. They will be transplanted to 30 gallon smart pots this weekend.

rple already and they are all showing some purplish hues on the new growth. Some seem to be growing quite well almost on par with the Qrazy trai

n and then i have 2 runts that defy my every attempt to make the prosper. Any hints/tips welcome as this is my first grow. Thanks for looking.

ladies are looking good. the picture upload is kind of funny i like to write out the text and then hit enter a couple times to put some space between text and cursor. then hit the pic upload. good luck on the transplant, hopefully the roots wont be too stuck in those smart pots.

what up fellas?

So i got some transplanting done and thinned the herd out some.. Getting the girls out of the 5 gallon smart pots was super easy. I socked them good , put them on top of a 5 gallon bucket and unrolled the smart pot right of the roots. I did 2 friday night since i was hiking up into destolation wilderness for a fun hike on saturday. Anyways the plants that made the first transplant cut had alreadyt started booming. I figured maybe a day or 2 to acclimate but not these ones. To be legal i can have 6 total plants and i have my qrazy trains and repotted and the rest went to compost.My other 3 will be Deep purple. But i do have a serious questions here. Right now the QT is pushing 2 feet tall and the way the grow is gowing this last week i think i can pic up a foot of height and diameter evevry week or 2, Which brings me to my problem. I have 7 foot tall fences and my neighbors are pretty chil. I can work on keeping the plants under the fence, but at flower arent these fuck's going to go all crazy and strecth like a mfer. I have topped agaon the first set of bracnhes that got topped 3 weeks back . Not sure if continuol topping is the best coaurse of action. How mu8ch stretch are the qt going to due on average to say a 4-5 foot bushy plant?

thats a tough question regarding the qt stretch. the querkle dom pheno is significantly shorter than the wreck. there is also a hybrid pheno that is tall. if your plant is 5 foot on july 21 the wreck pheno could push 10 feet. last summer i used 20 gallon pots, and to keep em under the fence line i was topping til mid july.
there are disadvantages to topping like weakening the structure and slowing the plant down, so keep that in mind. their are other options like lst, bondage etc. to keep the plant height at bay without topping. this year im trying to not top at all after the plant was placed outside. we will see as the season wares on and the fence line approaches. ill probably cover them in a hoop house as they overgrow the yard.

I pulled the lanky ones already. For example 2 plants, 1 had internode length of 6-7 inches while the other had nodes every other inch. So wanting to maintain some control of height i keep the 3 bushier plants. I may keep 1 more Qrazy train as so far all im getting on the deep purple is males. I was origonally going to do 3 and 3 but probably now 4-2. When could i expect these to start flowering around the Sacramento area?

you wont really know what you got til you flower regarding qt phenos. i would expect late july - early august they should start stretching.

Put some spikes in the ground & train your plants to run horizontal if possible by using the spiked to anchor off of

I try to keep mine as low as I can & by doing that you ensure each flower gets its own bit of sun

Hey guys,

Here is my update for this week. Took 4 photos of 2 females as you can see on is shorter bushier and one is lankier. I think the bushy one is nice looking structure wise. I also need some help trying to get some of these sexed. Almost none of my plants have shown to me what sex they are i know i have 3 females and already pulled 3 males, but the rest i cant decide due to lack of pistils. So maybe if you can tell in the pics that would be cool. Its 2 pics i think one is leaning towards female while the other is maybe male. Also took a shot of my veggie garden Its doing way better then the rest of my friends gardens. Also i seen this crazy looking spider on my plant so i snapped him also. He looks cool and is like a senteniel watching over things. I have weird bugs in my yard as i have never sprayed a poision in the yard ever and i been here since 03. im going to add pics in next column so they dont get all screwed up

trying to determine sex in person at this stage can be tricky. let alone through pics. it would be better to let em grow and cut the males down when the signs are definite.
