they dont look too green. I really like those fan leaves, the stems on them look like they're over a foot long! and the leaves are healthy, pefectly flat like a big solar panel. looking good

No sir, week 6 doesn't start until 1/25. I was thinking about flushing them with just ph water for a day or two right before week 6. Does anyone do that to remove salt build up or do I need to constantly feed them this late in to flower?

are you in week 6 of flower now??

Dont do that, If you were growing in coco or other soilless medium it might be a good idea. In straight hydro I think that will cause damage to the roots. The osmotic pressure caused from the difference in salt content between the roots and water will cause expansion of the root cells and they could rupture and die. Just continue with what you have been doing.

I could be wrong OldLuck, but I just don't want to see the plants get killed from that, do some research on it before you go ahead though to be sure, maybe its a good idea, but I imagine its not

Thank you sir, will do some investigating and see what the experts do.
Yeah unless you have major salt buildup (like you can see it on the sides of the pots or the top of the medium) there's really no need to flush. Only time I flush is about the last week give or take. a 3 day flush b4 chop is fine and so is a 10 day, just depends on how fast I can get to harvesting it all.

Thank you for exactly what I was looking for Someguy. My CMH light bulb showed up today. It is about half the size of my 400 watt MH bulb and to me about twice as bright. I guess with the added red spectrum is what it is making it look brighter. Also it is only 330 watts and fit in my MH ballast. Pretty happy about that. Hope it helps my buds fatten up in the next 2-3 weeks. On my way to change out the res with fresh nutes now instead of just ph water. Thanks again all.

Terrible!! My girls are droopy and eagles clawed. I changed my res a few days ago and I think my liquid karma went bad in its bottle. Turned my res black like coffee. Just changed it out and hopefully they will recover soon. They haven't grown much at all this week. Week six starts tomorrow but plants look to sad for pictures. If they don't get better in a couple of days I will post pixs looking for advice. My big plant was just starting to fill out a little before this happen. It looks like they both are set back a week or more. Glad these are bag seeds.

Sometimes less is more. Liquid Karama is a good product, but I don't like it in a rez. Too organic IMO, leaves a ton of mess. I like a hydro res to be cleaaaaan as possible.

Yes sir, twice I did. I might have a root bound problem also, but really can't do nothing about that. Roots are everywhere and the pots can sit even on the roots. Pretty frustrated at this point. They were just starting to look pretty decent. I hope they turn around soon.

Been using it throughout the grow with very clean water. But this time it looked very dark and then stained the water and kept it that way. My res looked like a 10 gal coffee pot. I hope I fixed the problem. Think I'm seeing cal problems to. I also am trying to keep the n down.

Tell me your full nutrient rundown and schedule if you have one. I can probably help as I have experience with a few different brand nutes and many of the products out there today.

Yeah same here i made so many mistakes on my grow im glad it was bagseed and all over. i chopper her down the other day because i just couldnt wait to start my new grow when the seeds arrive. Had to get that first grow excitement out and smoke the shit. ordered Fem SAD (Sweet Afghani Delicious) autoflower, and Afghan Kush Ryder Autoflower.

Oh shit.
Alright you said you might be root bound? your in a DWC right? The only thing I can think of is that your plants roots are using oxygen faster than your airstone can provide more. Maybe you could create someway to increase the total res size of your DWC(take another 5 gal pale cut it in half and stick it on top of the other pale?)

upload a shot of the plants, it may be sad to see but it will allow people to help, if not in the journal at least in the plant problem threads, take a shot of the roots too so someone call identify if its "rootbound" or not, I didnt think you could really get rootbound in DWC, unless you had a rediculous amount of roots.

Hope you get some good advice from the guys in the hydro threads.

You might want to look into H2O2 as something that could potentially help, but as with anything you add to your nutrient solution dont over do it.

I find it odd that the product that you used could have suddenly turned into a plant poison over-night, look into other possibilities as well.
Good Luck

Also where are you storing your nutes? Keep them away from the grow room in the dark preferably. I like 70 or lower, but don't ever freeze them. I see a lot of growers storing them with the grow for convenience but it can be 80-85 in the space which can cause issues.

Ok guys, my 2 girls are slowly starting to look better. My shorter plant still have a lot of cotton balls instead of buds. Some of the buds on my tall plant are filling out pretty good. I think they both have a long way to go if they are 8 week plants. I think my liquid karma went bad, I store my nutes in a cabinet in a room that doesn't go below 35 degrees. May that is a bit to cold for the nutes. Now my res is back to clear and my ph and ppm's are still very stable. I hope the fan leaves open back up this week. The roots in the bottom of the tray still look pretty dark from feeding in that coffee like solution but they are getting a little lighter every feeding now. Let me know guys what you think.
