rockwools work really well for any germ cones or seedlings
dont use any nutes till 2-3 weeks after you got good roots going.
Be patient also, and clones dont like a shit ton o light at the start
i actually put mine under my 2700k 18w desk lamp and they do better than under any of my cfl rigging..

topped ones r lookin fine, in a few days they will keep on truckin.

Cleaned out the closet today and upped my space to 6' x 2' 6' tall.

I have the clones in a humid hut
the plants seem to be ok with the topping.
the clones seem to be ok.

I put some holographic reflective paper on the walls check out the colors coming from it.

Man I'd opt for the emergency blankets at walmart for reflective material, your gonna loose light with all those pretty colors.
1 blanket is $2.88 and will cover ya

day 18 since seeds cracked the topping slowed the plants down for a couple days but they are coming back as 4 headed monsters except for the one that i cut 1 of the limbs of when topping cuz im an idiot.

Just Installed my new 400 W digital HPS. I have it set almost 4 feet from the plants is this ok?? Ill post pics tomorrow.

Way too far away. Do you have any venting for the 400? A vented 400 should be kept around 12-20" away. I know because I just got mine. Haven't used it yet because I just started this grow but did run some tests while the grow room was empty. Well I had to run some tests because an empty grow room almost drove me nuts! LOL!

you want the light as clase as you can without burning the tops. its usually about 10-12 inches

Ok so i did i res change yesterday and woke up to nute burn.
Its not horibble but its noticable. so i took 3 liters out of the res and put 3 liters of straight water in and they have perked back.

Picture of the new digital 400W, i have placed a 5 inch computer fan directly onto the bulb i still have to install my exaughst fan, but for now its staying pretty cool in there still.

And the plants....

Looks like you need a new hood. Get a vented hood and you will have a much cooler grow. The fan you have is only blowing hot air around but not out.

Common mistake for new and old growers to get some nute burn. You done good by backing it off a bit.

Might be abondoning the bubble system because i cannot for the life of me keep the temps of my water lower than 72 degrees. i have an exasht fan venting constantly and a fan blowing in there all day as well. the room temp is only mi 70s but s is the water. Oh well

Any ideas would b awsome.

the roots grow super lush out of the cups and hit water and brown up and stop growing i just recovered from a nute lock.

72 is not horrible. I've done whole grows around that temp. Before you ditch it try some hygrozyme or cannazyme. Turns the dead roots in nutes the plant can use in a soluable form so what is left is functioning at a high rate. You have winter coming up in your area?

Yea i am in canada and day time high is no higher than 58 degrees.
