First time around in Hydro. Theyve been growing about a month and a week (estimate, havent been keeping records) Theyve grown so fast! the pic of the bud is from my soil grow that been put on pause, had to bring them in and now they are stalled in mid-flower. The last pic is of my set up. I think theyre looking good! I have 5 cfls on them. 3 2500K and 2 6500K 1 fan 2 air pumps 4 airstones humidifier. Im using GH nutes. only micro and grow, dont have bloom nutes. little superthrive every now and then. PH has been stable and plants have been green and very healthy throughout!

Thanks for the posts!

Ive been topping them and LSTing them, just wondering, I have about 4 feet probably more of room left for them to grow. When should I be switching them to 12/12 to make the best use of the space? I dont have bloom nutes, will they be okay as is as long as I feed them Micro? THis has been a very self sufficient grow ive really not spent alot of time messing with them, I havent even had to balance the PH of the water and the nutes are loosley measured about 2xs a week when I feed em. Any advice is appreciated.

Updated pics, they look really nice but kinda droopy at the same time, im guessing its due to lack of light. Anyone got any input on what it may be? also I feel like there should be alot more roots, anyone?

Thanks!

You need a whole lot more cfl's or a small hps light, just my opinion.:peace:

They look slightly overnuted to me. Also, that light need to be a lot closer. Put your hand to the top of the plant and bring the light down. If it is comfortable for your hand it will be comfortable for the plants. What wattage cfl's do you have? Plants need less nutes than the bottle says if you are using cfl's. You're going to need more lights for flower. 2 to one ratio of 2700k vs 6500k in flower should do it.

I had the lights closer than that, I pulled them up hoping tp get them to stretch its a jungle in the middle and Im trying to get light in there. right now theres 3 day light bulbs in there 150w equivalent and 2 soft white 26w actual output. I want to get HID in there, they are about 1 1/2 months in veg and want to know if I should get a MH or HPS first?

This place has a 250w hps for 80 bucks, has anyone ordered from here before? any reviews on the place, shipping and how good the light is?

If not can you point me to the best place to get some HID lighting in there?

I have plenty of room available and venting heat wont be a problem. Ill also be getting some mylar and some more GH nutes soon.

Thanks for the input MC!

Do you know what EC you have been keeping these plants at?

Also, your plants look great, but if you plan to keep them in the same container for flowering, you will have crowding issues. You could try angling the net pots away from each other. I'd switch to flower as soon as you have a sufficient light.

yes, you're gonna want some extra lighting for flowering. also, if you decide to stick with cfls for flowering, I would change my lighting scheme a bit. Maybe switch to clamp lights and spread out the light evenly. If you go with HID, look up DIY cool tubes or have a cooling plan in place. Lastly, those girls are gonna get big!!! If you have the room and the light, then it's a good thing. If not, you're gonna wanna switch them soon.

Also, when was the last time you did a res change, the water looks kind of dark. You should do a res change once a week. If you haven't, do one and see the growth you get the next few days. And while you are doing the res change give the roots a air bath.

No, I dont have a PPM meter or anything, just some PH test strips that I use to check the PH now theyve and then, been very easy and low maintenance to my surprise! Never any PH issues, wilting, yellowing, or anything really.

Im looking into a cool tube, which is the best 100-250W HID system that you guys would recommend? I want to get one before I induce the flowering stage!

Ill try pointing the cups away and see if I can manage the size and space, they are so bushy im trying to get them to stretch a little to space out everything.

Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated!

inside sun is where i got my 250 hps. their definetly a good source and decent ship time. their ballast is kinda bulky, but if you get it just set a fan up to blow on it becuz it does get hot. in my opinion you really dont need a cooltube as long as you have good airflow. but do whatever you like

Lower the CFLs to 2 too 3 inches near the plants.

They appear to be an Indica strain, but I am not sure. Do you know if they are Sativa or Indica?
If you can go another 4 feet taller, then VEG them a total of at least 4 weeks, or up to 5 weeks.

I dont have bloom nutes, will they be okay as is as long as I feed them Micro?

Micro is no way a substitute for Bloom nutes.

Be looking for some BLOOM nutes.

You've been blessed and done a great job so far.

you told us what kelvins, but what watt are the bulbs?

Droopy is not eating and drinking, ususally a pH or Heat problem.

If you go to HID lights, there will be the HEAT issue and need venting.
I'd get a mess of 42s 2700k from Lowes for the flowering on this grow.
