First time AUTOFLOWERING! Give me your lights guys!..Enlighten Me!

@PURPLEB3RRYKUSH NHF dude but I would consider TRASH any auto that dont begin to flower on 30day of life..All top autos (mephisto/dinafem) start to flower around 21st day, so wtf is the point of 50 days vegging WW???rather go with photo then.
@Hydro4life Be4acause i had cal mag issues(I always do ) I even tried that mixing my tap with destiled water..didn't help at all.,Other problem is I was using and still do AN ph perfect sensi bloom nutes, they supposed to have self regulating ph,but if you use it At 50% with my shitty water it doesn't work proper.. I every grow I end up with really shitty looking plants, and if they are nute sensitive.wo ho ho..more problems..

This was from a cut acquired in Barcelona, originating from parts unknown! Super lemony and really greasy, crossed with our S.O.D.K. Now feminised at F4.

And lastly, Pink Panama,
Pink Panama is Panama/Deep Chunk from Ace Seeds/Cannabiogen crossed with a pink auto sativa breeding strain. The F1 cross of this strain was made back around 2011 and then shelved as we had a tonne or projects to investigate but we resurrected it from the archive when we had a few more sativa based projects on hand to play with.
I must search to see if they have something crossed with chemdawg.. Yes they do.. Chemdogging


I grew purple train wreck from EU Humboldt..It was wack..but again temps were 33c in the tent in the middle of the summer..

If you wanna listen to hard core smoker,.. MUST do MEPH strains are 4 Assed Monkey (that shit was potent despite too early harvest),Sour Crinkle if you find it anywhere, and Samsquatch OG, I grew few of their strains but wasn't much impressed like with this ones.I have auto blue cheese by dinafem near harvest right now..

They also have Creme de la Chem and Space Queen with chem. Queen has been out for months and being regrown for seeds to buy the near futuer. Than there was the limited freebies of Sour Stomper x CdlC.

i also use ph perfect now. My tap water is 450ppm! And 8.5ph. And alot of the time you can smell the chlorine (keeps roots white haha, but kills your root bennies) i find with my tap water which would be totally different to yours, using AN ph perfect it brings my ph to 5.8 everytime. At half strength. But the plant lacks vitality and just seems to look a bit glum. Ive had my best results using straight distilled water with ph perfect as my base. I suppose for me going from straight tap water to straight distilled water looks like when you add b52 to a plant that needs it. Just seems to have more vitality. Ive found some strains are cal mag beasts!! What deficiency do you usually get? Calcium? Magnesium? Or both? Do you adjust ph after 2 or 3 days? What cal mag do you use?

Also, really good info on those strains man! Chemdogging! Even sounds good haha. I'll be doing a seed order in a few days and think i might have to throw some autos into the mix!!

Thanks Matty! Good variety now too. I remember looking years ago at autos and they didnt seem to have the range of strains that they do now. I'll be using the autos for outdoors when the cold snaps done/daylight hours start increasing.

Not really. They are not really all that different than photos. Just that you don't control when they flower. They do like lesser nutes than photos so take note with that since hydro lets us feed how much we want whenever we want and be gentle for first 3 weeks. After that they grow themselves for you.

Nothing wrong with 50 day veg auto's, they end up yielding huge usually

Yield and potency with ANY weed I have grown tend to be directly proportional to the length of the flower period.
You are not going to get a tiny plant, yielding a pound of 24% weed in 6 weeks

LOL-.-.Are U in Croatia to?? We have very similar tap water.. I really dont know how exact is my ph after adding AN coz I ditch my cheap ph pens ages ago, now I use liquid test just to see am I close to 6.5..
I usually get calcium def.. Later and magnesium too,but biggest def. is always calcium, and my tap water is really hard to.. I do soil , so I adjust my water prior to feeding /watering my girls..
I use all AN hobby line plus their cal mag.. I was planing to try bio canna to go full organic..

Haha. I am currently living in western Australia (not from Australia, mate ) but the water here is pumped down via a huge pipe line from perth. 7 hours drive away. So is treated multiple times along the way. It tastes like shit lol. We dont drink it just to be safe and buy bottled water for drinking as i dont trust it. The only reason i asked if you adjust ph is that i did this when i first started using ph perfect and got deficiencies. I too dont use a ph pen any more and if i see the plant isnt looking the best or his starting to get deficiencies i change out my res and top it up with fresh 50/50 tap and distilled water along with a fresh dose of ph perfect. Do you test the ppm of your run off? Also im always nervous about using too many additives especially all at full strength. I saw a chart that showed the macro and micro nutrients and which ones too much of cause lock out to the other. Off memory too much calcium and/or potassium WILL cause magnesium lockout/deficiency. (Could try cutting big bud down to half strength as its fairly high in PK) you could also try playing around with your base nutes, for example adding a little more of part A than Part B as it has a decent amount of calcium and magnesium? I do this now and its all about reading the plant. Just some ideas for you anyway bro. I'll try and find that chart 4 ya when i get the time!!

Exactly..... all autos will mature to the point of close ripeness at about week 9 / week 10.
I never check shit until a full week 8-9 of actual flower ( not transition ).....

Those “ 60 day wonders “ autos are not necessarily as stated. I just monitor the leaf fade around mid to late stages. If I use a bloom boost ( sometimes ) like MOAB ... I feed once at week 4 and at week 6 or 7.

Most will ride that 70 day flower stage just fine.

Bigger plant = bigger roots, bigger roots = bigger/more bud.

Many auto growers like to go easy with the nutes, especially when starting out. What strains do you have?

I only have Northern lights in auto.... It is RQS's , I've seen them beast out quite big.
I use a very mild fertilizer range, you can literally use it on soil.

I drink bottled water too,but it's because i live in apartment mt with old pipes,and after left standing in glass water really smell's. I didn't catch what you meant first time, I NEVER adjust Ph when I add AN ph perfecr, I did that once and fck everything up.. Even AN representative told me Its big NO NO because it will conflict with their ph perfect technology....I never go above 50% of strength..Even that is sometimes too much for some autos,.,. it could be that I fck up calcium by giving it too much.. it makes sense to me..

@Budzbuddha I started to follow your philozophy, I count flowering week's not age of plant..

As you lurk other auto growers you will find most of them always ask if it is done around week 6-8 .... and they always seem surprised when someone says go 2-3 weeks more.

All plants mature differently.......

Scoping triches can be subjective at times , but there are “ other “ clues.
1. Pistil color and recede ( high percentage? )
2. Are the sugar leaves fading off at bud or crisp up.
3. she not taking up as much water in late stages or if at all.
4. Uniform fade all over plant .

Some will not amber much or at all when at peak.
Some will have some white pistils..... some will foxtail.

Some growers do partial harvests ( cutting the most mature first ) and letting MIDS and lowers finish.

Some growers do a gradual light schedule drop ( adding more dark as late weeks begin )
so they finish a little faster.

If I am getting about 75% cloudy ( overall ) then I’m pretty much in the window.
( checking multiple tops to best judge ).

I really don’t look to much into anything before Week 2 of actual flower.
This is when stretch is done or slowing and flower forming actually begins.

Kind of why you run them in sets approx. 2-3 weeks apart so you can perpetuate them.

I dig what you saying al tho ,I'm still very bad at reading the peak of my autos maturity..
I decided to have partial harvest this time,because my lower buds arent mature as my canopy one's..
And that trichome stuff kill's me, i dont know is it my f up growing style or my lights but i never have more than 10% amber, doesn't matter how look I keep my plant alive,...

Hi everyone, I was asked what lights work best with autoflowers and I really don't know. I've been told they work best under MH but then I was told HPS is the way to go. I'm trying to work out what spectrum they work best under, is it a heavier red spectrum or heavier blue spectrum. I haven't had a good answer so I guess here is the right place to ask.
