I have 2 plants in the biggest Aerogarden, and I have to refill the water every 8-10 hours
But damn! she is looking good, can't believe she made it! did you change to 2700k?

Thanks! I changed to my flowering nutes and 2700K lights about 5 days ago (when I first saw some pistils). I might spring for one of those automatic watering systems to refill the rez while I am gone, and then return it after I get back (I'm a bad person....mwa ha ha).

There's got to be someone that can help you out. Have you researched those gravity water feeds? Don't know much about them but it would probably help

Ok, I think I may have a solution. I bought a submersible water pump used for tile cutting machines , water tubing and a timer. My plan is to put the pump in a gallon of pH-adjusted water and then set the timer to top off the res once daily. I think it might work! And BTW, I am going to this much effort because I will also be gone for a full week the third week of Dec. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a plan....since I know you are trying it out before you have to leave let me know how it works as I will be gone over Christmas...also where did you purchase it and how much was it?

I got it from Home Depot (the text is linked in my previous post). It was $18. I just tried it in a bucket with a timer and it totally worked! WAY too much water came out though, so I will definitely have to tinker with the flow before I set it loose

Ok, a few more pics before I leave on my 4 day trip. I am gonna add nutes tomorrow morning and fill it to the brim. Then I will set my water pump to only water it once on Friday since I can't seem to keep the flow low enough (you have to set it by 1 min intervals on my timer). Anyways, the flowers are getting bigger (hooray!). Does anyone know when I should start seeing trichromes on an autoflower strain? I KNOW it won't be yet....I just want to know what is normal. Happy t-day everyone!

Im sure that thread will still be there when you do.

Make sure you put some kind of containment around your AG in case something goes horribly wrong with your pump setup.

Wow.....I leave for a few days and my thread completely falls by the wayside! And here I was thinking people were interested in my work :( Anyways.....so I just got back from my trip, and apparently my aerogarden automatic watering apparatus worked (I should patent that shit). The only major issue was that the pH was REALLY high when I got back (like 7.5), which was weird since the distilled water that the auto-waterer was using was pH adjusted. But I fixed the pH back to ~5.5-6. Otherwise, she continues flowering....some strange color things are going on with some of the leaves (see below) with some older leaves turning yellow and some newer leaves with spots and/or peripheral yellowing. I think this is likely related to the pH issues & nute-lock, but I guess I will just have to see in the next few days. Does this sound about right? What does everyone think of my little lady???

Hey Richy, looks like you had lock out due to your ph being so high...She should come around in a day or two. She is looking good and glad to hear your self watering system worked!

Alright....it's picture time again. She seems to have started developing some sort of "fungus" around her buds....they look kinda like little balloons on stalks. I don't know what to do!!! Actually, I think I will just let it be in the hopes that they help me get stoned :P

But for seriously, she has been trichome-ing for a few days now and I think she is doing ok after the pH incident. She does seem to keep elevating her pH a little bit each day, which worries me because I will be leaving again for a few days next week. Anyways, besides some more leaf yellowing I think she is ok right now. One thing: I got in there with my macro lens (as you can see), and it seems that most of the trichomes are already opaque. Obviously she is not close to harvest, but I thought you only see the cloudiness when they are mature? Can anyone 'splain this to me? Thanks!
