First time Aerogrow Journal

So....no pics today (sorry), but the little lady is really growing up now. She's starting to grow higher (like I wish I was) and I may need to raise the aerogarden light soon. My question is since this is an AF strain, shouldn't it be flowering by now?? I know she had that initial setback which may have affected things, but I thought that she should still flower within 25-35 days of germinating. Thoughts? Should I switch to flowering lights/nutes to help things along?

Looks like she is just beginning to flower....just give her some time and keep on 18/6 light schedule with lights as close as possible...since she had a rough start she will take a bit longer to flower...

She will grow on just about any light schedule but I have researched quite a few sources and they say autos grow best with 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark.

Hmmm....well maybe I'll switch it to 18/6 since it seems like the is working pretty well for you :P I still have my 2 6500K CFLs up, but I saw you are already using 2700K lights. Are your babies flowering or are you just preemptively starting those lights?

The 2 little girls are flowering really well right now...the big girl is being extremely slow, not even 1 white pistol yet...

Thinking of switching them to 12/12 for a day or two to see if I can force her to move a bit quicker but want to make sure it won't hurt the other two.

Ok, time for a real update. As you can see, she is finally starting to act her age! I have had to scoot the lights outward over the last 2 days and I will probably raise the AG light hood in a day or 2. Does anyone see any evidence of flowering? Her nodes are so close together that I am having some trouble telling where to look for pistils. Anyways, she seems to like things right now, so I am hoping to keep it that way.....let me know what you think!

Fuckin el rich. Looking good. Dont see any evidence of pre flowers. How long ago did you start her again? And did you buy fem seeds?

Thanks assassin! I bought the Greenhouse Green-o-matic fem AF seeds (that's a mouthful). I don't know if the initial stress has delayed the flowering or something. I was thinking about going ahead and switching to my 2700K lights and my flowering nutes. Do you think that might help? She's now on an 18/6 light schedule

Ok, so obviously I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to looking for flowering, so I took a bunch of pics at various nodes around the plant. I know most of whats in the pics are immature leaves, but can anyone see any signs of flowering at all?? I just switched to my 2700K collection today (I figure what's the harm). Please let me know what you think!

Thanks guys! I just want to make sure I get this girl flowering as soon as she is ready so she doesn't flower for 10+ weeks like another thread I read. Anyways, since I raised the hood she has shot up! I installed 2 26W and 1 42W 2700K lights and am switching her over to flowering nutes when she is due for a change tomorrow. Besides that, any advice or should I just keep on keepin on?

Looking good....How high up do you have that hood up? Try to keep it within 2 inches or so...Other than that just keep on keeping on!!

The hood is just out of the shot in the pic. I just upped it one notch on the hood...I know some people rig it up themselves but I dunno how.

Hell yeah man. Congrats on the female. Your plant is pretty impressive.

Looks like you have a nice camera. If you know how to upload your pic to a site like PhotoBucket you should post these full sized in the link in my sig. Id love to see them in all of their glory.

Wow....this has probably been the longest stretch I haven't posted since this grow started! Anywhoo, the not-so-little lady seems to be a happy camper lately :) Her nodes are spreading out a little now...but are still pretty tight I think. I guess the only issues right now are that her pH seems to fluctuate daily and that there is a little bit of copper spotting on some leaves. One question: I am going to be leaving town for 4 days for Thanksgiving and there will be no one that could come over to water my plant. What should I do? She has been really thirsty lately and I seem to top of the rez daily. Should I just fill it to the brim and cross my fingers??

Well I hear that because of the small reservoir size that the ph will fluctuate more...as for being gone for 4 days...that is a dilemma. I guess if you have no one to water than you will just have to top it off and hope for the best...
