Hi,

Just a couple of questions that someone could probably help me with.

Is it necessary to dry and cure when making green dragon?

Also, is it OK to dry between 40 - 50% RH? I might have some real problems trying to get higher than that at the minute.

if your making green dragon u don’t have to have it dry in anyway. If your area doesn’t have above 75% alcohol sold buy urself a distiller and buy cheap 30-45% vodka and distill it, use a alcohol % tester ( it’s a weight that floats on %) and distill it till 70-90%, after this u can reuse and remove everything but 5-15% left and be able to do this same process and not have to re-buy the booz . fill the jar or food grade buckets ( I like 5 gal food grade + gamma seal) and key is fill it with bud not stems 50%-70% and than fill Everything but 5-10% with bud. many People activate the bud by heating aka decarb it in oven and misc but I find that distiller is so hot and effects of 5-15ml finished def is potent. I used to heat the stuff up before hand but not now ( plus if still wet good luck). I’ve tried both ways and it didn’t “activate” more than just distilling?


keep in dark and cool place ( I even leave in freezer first day-week and day before distilling.. shake once a day) , stir/and shake the jar or bucket daily. The color tone shows the potency (darker the better). Since my patients and myself need lots of it I make multi buckets/jars and always have some ready to use. The longer it stays in booz and shaken the stronger it gets ( my finished will be 2months-year old and be black)

using a screen i than dump the jar/buckets liquid into the distiller, have it run and let the alcohol be distilled into a new jar/bucket when running. Key is knowing how long before the alcohol is under 50-75%, once it hits under that I stop it. a lot of people instruct to run till super oil/no more booz in it but this makes whole process of harvesting it to intaking ur meds way harder. making it pure oil if taken on spoon or w/e it will try to stick to ur teeth and extra hassle. Where if u let a lil booz stay u can take it so easily , I use a 5ml syringe and take it 2x a day. Key is to drink some water after taking it cause it taste super strong.

I know u can do it wet it’s just the material will be bigger biomass , my main methos is doing 1/3-1/2 kief and rest small nugs/undesired dried buds. ethier way the key is giving ur buds as much area to fill in the jar or bucket and don’t read those old articles saying to use iso. that shit is super dangerous and if u don’t take 100% ur intaking poision. get the distiller and ur set! Ive had mine for over 10 years and only buy booz every other year at most. some people say it can be done in just 24hrs or close. But I disagree, I’ve trued it both ways and it’s much better to be patient and have extra stock so u can always have it done and ready to be distilled and used.I also see people say just put in freezer, well I’ve tried that too and that does help but it isn’t the golden ticket , shaking and time works best for me and I do put the product when in jar in the freezer and shake for a day or two for 1-3 days and even a day before distilling. Decarbing it does work but being u want to do it wet and a distiller is so hot I think thatit already does that for ya

Thanks for the detailed reply, very interesting read. I am able to get my hands on 80% alcohol no problem.
