Hey my dudes I'm pretty green to all this I've just started to get into it.
I need some help and advice with a few things, if I could get pointed in the right direction or given accurate advice that would be swell.
So first off I'm thinking of buying a Gorilla grow tent specifically the 5x9 looking at the specs and under dimensions it says this: 5’x9’x6’11.
I use the metric system so does this mean it's 5 feet wide, 9 feet long and 6/11 tall?
also as well with a grow space this big how many plants roughly could I fit, what kind of yields are we talking If I hypothetically do everything efficient and really protect these babies?
I've been doing some research into DIY LED what's the best way to go about this COBS? Quantum board?
How do I determine how much lighting I need for the space I keep coming across terms such as PAR and PPFD.
Any guides regarding how to actually wires these bad boys up from drivers to heat sinks etc.
What is the best equipment regarding PH reading, fans, carbon filters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, heaters can I muffle the noise? I'm trying to be stealthy.
I'll leave it at that for now, if I could get some help or directed to the correct area that would be fantastic.
Cheers Guys.

5 foot deep, 9 feet wide, 6 foot and 11 inches tall (pretty much 7 feet tall).

How many plants you can fit depends on your style. You can cram 180 plants in there for a SoG style, or grow 12 monsters with SCroG, or anywhere in between. More plants does not mean more yield, it means faster yield (with more problems, IMO).

Yield depends on strain, environment, skills, etc. Most shoot for 1g/watt of light or more... don't expect that on your first grow.

COBs or Quantums… I use COBs, some use quantums. Both are LED. Both work well.

Don't worry too much about PAR/PPFD... if you use about 50W per square foot of high-quality LED lighting, you should be good. I'm sure some here can give recommendations.

Don't worry about drivers/heat-sinks until you determine what you want to purchase... those quantums have them included.

Best equipment for your room? Too many options/variables. How are you growing? What are the normal conditions in that room? What is the weather like where you live, normally? Temp? RH? Soil/Soilless/Hydro?

Many options to muffle sound... might have to get creative.

Well I had a long winded reply half typed but someone beat me to it.

I will just add this. Go on youtube and find growmau5, he has a great 7 part tutorial about building COB lights. Its a great place to start.
Then take a wander over to the LED section.

Welcome to RIU, happy growing!!
:bigjoint:

P.S most of us use 30w per square foot. Some less, some more.

Thanks for clearing that up for me man.
Yeah I think SCroG is what I'd lean more towards 12 monsters sounds delicious.
Fair call this is my first grow so hopefully with enough research and what my gut tells me I should have a successful harvest.
Yeah I'm aware of the variables as stated my dude there is a lot to take in, Yeah I'm leaning more towards COBS.
Yeah I mean I could keep things simple by going 50w per square foot but I want accuracy I'm going through all this trouble to be efficient.
Well I want to grow in a gorilla grow tent, the temperature of the actual room it will be in will vary, but the whole point of the tent from my perspective is have that area ( the grow tent ) so I have complete control over i.e. Humidity, temp, light cycles etc.
weather at the moment where I live is cold, depends some days are sunny other days It's foggy as hell and I have to pour hot water over my windscreen to melt a layer of ice, it's not consistent pretty much haha.
Not sure what you mean by RH could you clear that up with me brother?
Was thinking of growing with Coco.
Yeah I may have to do research else where to figure out ways to be extra stealthy and muffle noise, thanks for the reply man, much appreciated.

Haha all G my dude.
Yes! growmau5 I have been watching his vids that's how I found rollitup, at the end of the day though I need to put a bit of effort in on my end to get a better understanding and clarify things, So I figured forums would be a good place as there is a whole community of growers with different experience to share.
Thanks for the welcome message man it's good to be here much love bruv.
