First Grow Yield 10.5 oz

I pulled down two plants a few weeks ago. There is a thread around here somewhere with pics as I pulled them and hung them to dry in the tipee.

Yield from the first plant - 6.5 oz dry.

Second plant - the pineapples :D - gave up 10.5 oz (plus loose dwids).

Both are fully dry and curing in jars.

Props to Fdd for the harvest faq.

Update on the freeeeeekin worms: As I hung the plant they dropped off quickly (only found 3 yay!). They wanted nothing to do with a plant that wasn't plump with moisture. Over the following week + I caught the babies as they hatched and dropped off, and smooshed them all :).

I have one 100w hps and I used it carefully on some clones I had. I grew them tall for 6 weeks then timed them carefully and moved them outside. Ra the Sun God did the rest for me :)

I'll drop some pics of the nugs and the jars sometimes this eve or in the am. So far it's being compared to the local dispensaries and winning :D

Grown using a 1000w hps until flowering stage, then I timed them carefully to match the light with outdoor light and brought them outside. I was told by many people that this could not be done. So far it's going pretty well :) I got a few of the clones in June far after I'd gotten my first set started so I had to use a light to pump up their size a bit

The first plant that came down was sold to me (clone) from a dispensary as a purple kush. It is in no way a pk lo, but more like a Jack Herrer. Either way I like how it turned out. The sheer amount of trichs on it was amazing.

The second plant was supposed to be an Erkle but it turned out more fruity than I've seen Erke before, I'm not sure what happened. Really sweet smooth smoke though, and has been highly complimented so far.

The next two I have coming up are a true Erke (it's got the look and the leaves are purpling beautifully) and a Grandaddy. They should be ready sometime next month.

I cut and dried on the stalk with a rough trim, just hung it over thin lines that I strung up in the tipee outside. It stayed there for almost a week letting it start to dry and then I manicured it and brought it inside to hang for another 4 days in front of a fan in a dark room. Then it was cut off the stalk (which is bendy on the big ones and snappy on the small bits by then) and put into a tray for another 24 hrs. After that I weighed and jarred it. Now I'm doing the burping every day bit, and so far so good :)

Mostly I'm following Fdd's grow/harvest faq with some supplemental reading to round out my questions. I'm most concerned now with long term storage. I'm growing for personal use (med420 card) and my goal was mostly to just stop hemmoraging money every month trying to buy my med. Heheheh, I think we've hit that goal.

I'm starting a winter grow now. It will be with all clones that we took from these four ladies, and I've got a whole tray of them to pick from. I'll be using that hps light again and am looking to pick up a few other lights (400w mh and maybe LeDs?) Thoughts on lighting always welcome btw... heheheh.

I thought they were beautiful on the plant tbh. The more they dry the more they are starting to look like what I buy at the store visually. The nugs are shrinking up tightly etc...

The difference between what I've seen with this weed and some of the light and airy bud that my friend is growing a few doors down is water absorbtion. I water more often and differently than he does (he's growing outdoors also but on a drip system). Made all the difference in the world in the drying process, mine took longer to dry but shrank up to tight buds.

Thanks all. Pics of the Erkle and the Grandaddy Purp will be up shortly. I'm really looking forward to that harvest, the smell coming from the back yard is extreme :)

Now that I've got one round under my belt, I'm eager to start again - thanks to all of you for the grow tips and be sure I'll be here to help spread the love.
