What ballast do you have? I would be surprised if it didn't take normal HPS bulbs as well. Does it specifically say MH?

An extra oscillating fan could help a lot with the trapped heat. I had a 400w less than 4 inches away from the main cola of a plant and the only reason the bud was fine by the end was cos I pointed a fan directly at the light and bud, works wonders.

Thanks for the tip. I got donated to me a few things today. HAHAHAHA A Cool Hood, with a 1000W HPS AND ballast!!! and a 400CFM inline fan. I cant believe it Oh and some DNF nuets... Should I use the new nuets or stick with my general flowering 15-30-15?

Sweet man they are filling out nice. One thing though, those white specks? Can you get a closer look at them, check underside of the leafs very closely. Possible spider might?

I noticed mites a week ago and gave them a blast of "BOOM" they all died off right away. I think its heat stress. its like 89-90 degrees in there at the end of the day. I lifted the light a bit more and am picking up a sheet of glass today to put in the cool hood. :-) Should fix my heat problems.

The hood is in with a few snags along the way the sealed hood with glass and the fan hooked up to it works wonders!!! Temps are 82-83ish.
Wife has gone home with the kid for a few weeks so I have no Camera. They are all budding so nicely Next pic up date will be nearer the end of the month.

WIth the spider mites man you need to keep a really close eye, they are the most difficult bugs to get rid of. You will probably need to blast them again, sooner rather than later.

It says on the bottle to use only once a week. I will be doing it again tonight. Thanks.

Hey guys and gals here is an update sorry that I've been a while but my camera is on vacation with my wife and kid. LOL I found an old cell phone and took some pics.

I started on DNF(Dutch Nutrient Formula) and must have mixed it strong. nothing happened until after the next watering after I introduced some black strap Molasses I thought the molasses was the problem but many ppl insure me it was not. Oh well I gave my girls a bath tonight (Flushed them) Approx 36 gallons of water. It was PH'ed to 6.0-6.4 ish but only the bad ish looking plant got the water that has been sitting out for a few days de-clorinating. I didn't have a 36 gallon res kicking around so will the clorinated water casue an issue this one time?

The last picture is a bag seed I through in the ground way late in the year just to see if anything happened. I left it alone and never checked on it/watered it and presto I thought I would look for it after we had our frost and there she was. I was quite happy it's really good smoke and I get a test run at curing some weed. LOL:joint::joint::joint:

Hey mate, it doesnt look like nute burn to me, given the fact u have been flowering for over a month, it looks more 2 me as though the plant is going through a process of natural selection. It is deciding that it no longer needs the big fan leaves, and is starting to take the all the goodness from them to give to ur buds.
I cant see too closely from ur pics, but if the symptons are not on ur bud-leaves, then wat i have said is the explanation. Try adding more phosphorous and potassium to help em out, n back-off on the nitrogen just to be safe.
As for the chlorinated water.. i fill my res straight from my hose, so i wouldnt stress too much, i havent had a problem with all mine.

Plants are looking nice tho :bigjoint:

Thanks bro. If there was still 3 weeks left would the fan leaves be falling off like that already?

This is the main time for ur Buds 2 Swell, so this is when they need the energy - which they take from the fan leaves.
In the last 2 weeks, ur buds are almost done growing, and they concentrate on the trichomes.
Hope this helps.
Peace :bigjoint:

Third pic looks like insane spider mite infenction, if you can find it Einstein oil is meant to be the best. Also some supervit or some other plant pick me up would help em. Also are you still feeding them some n?
