First Grow, Using CFL's

This is my second attempt at growing. the first time came 2 years ago and i used a Halogen bulb, rookie mistake. the 7plants i had all died aftera few weeks, they were stretching entirely to much

So now i started this grow with that halogen, and noticed the stalk was stretching alot. i decided i needed a brighter light, and went with the CFL's, did alot of research and found out the CFL's light spectrums etc..

After changing the CFL blub to a 100w equivalent 6700k bulb, i went out of town and bought 2 150w equivalent 42w actual bulbs both 6700k. the plants stalk is getting stronger now after i put the fan hitting the plant directly instead of just moving the air around it. i also have a humidifyer running 24/7 as i live in a very dry climate.

I am considering going and buying a 3rd lamp (maybe a clip on lamp, for a smaller 2700k cfl bulb while iam in Veg.

Currently i am getting close to the end of my second week of Veg. I will post some pictures shortly as i need to figure out how to post pictures on here.

Any help anyone can give, i would greatly appreciate. happy Growing!!

i have also recently read about using Dry ice as a source of CO2 a couple times a day, by putting it in water or even a cup. i have unlimited access to this stuff, anyone else have any more info on that?

i made the mistake of using Nutrients a few days ago. i think it may be that and not having enough light. i had a small 19w cfl on there 100w replacement for a week while i was out of town. I will check yours right away. thanks

Pizza boxes and tin foil. I can't see the duct tape, but I'm certain it's there somewhere. How resourceful you are.

Those nodes in pic #3 want to be roots. When you transplant out of the keg cup, bury those.

I would like to sit back and watch this one....

So i know i just started this Journal yesterday, but as i was eating yet another Pizza. i had an epiphany. how to save more light inside my Pizza box made grow box. Here are a couple pictures of what i did today.

*Added a new light today, at 19w CFL 2700k bulb to compliment the 2 42w CFL 6700k bulbs i already had.
*also bought a new Thermometer and hydrometer. i found out that my room is alittle humid from my humifyer i had been running 24/7.

*the area is alittle larger with alot more Shiney surfaces to reflect, and were attached with Clear shiny scotch tape!.

Does anyone know when the best time ot myst the plant is? is that the way i shoul dbe watering the soil too? the soil was really really dry so i gave it some water, but not alot

Looking forward to more comments.
PEACE!!

spray a lil bit of mist water on top of the plants on the leafs it wudnt hurt them;) but not too much

Thanks man, i have been for the last 4 or 5 nights, and have watered less and the leafs are really starting to perk up and i had to move the lights today a bit too. will post some pictures tomorro or satruday to show progress! have you heard anything about putting in some dry ice around the plant so it has more co2?

Ok so it is officially 3 weeks since i started and i have learned a ton. As you can see i have finally got rid of the chop stick as my plants week in the gym with the fan has paid off.

Woke up today, and after some research realized that my plant is actually dehydrated. so i guess i should do some research on watering. its a funny balance, because im sure i was over watering before. heh.

the plant has grown a ton the last couple days since i put in the other 2700 spectrum light. So im thinking i should transplant soon. any suggestions? im in a 1 ltr pot right now. look forward to comments!

ya man, but in the water you have to have sugar and yeast. it was a thread i did yesterday. and after a couple days when you shake it, the yeast lefts of c02. seems pretty simple. Ill go take a look at yours. and my droopy leaves problem was DEFINATELY underwatering.

wow, so the plant really seems to be hurting right now. since i took away the chopstick i had supporting it, the leaves have defianetly drooped alot more. i did water it today, but now much, but it really needed the water. i have a c02 source started right now as well. so lets hope that helps

In honor of my 3rd week. i decided i better prepare for growth as i am sure i will transplant as soon as my plant is looking a tad healthier. maybe in a week or so. im hoping to get 3 or sofeet out of it, so i built it 4 1/2 feet high. take a gander!
