First Grow, Using CFL's

Did you see that Video of Strain Hunters i posted for you?

So i did a bit of research, and found out aht Blood Meal is all Nitrogen, Perfect for vegetative. then Bone meal is all P (phosporus) and Potash is all K( Potassium). Now what mixture of those i need to do some more research. but i was told to start out with quarter strenght of nitrogen then feed twice with water then 50% then twice water then 100%.

I would think the same would go for the P and K. 25% strength, then do 2 feedings of just water, then 50% then 2 feedings of just water, then 100%. I also bought my Flowering Lights today, however as the plant gets bigger i am going to buy 2 more.

I have a huge smile today, i looked at my plant after watering, and it is the best it has looked so far. Im very very happy right now. specially because tomorro is the end of the week. the green shades i have are amazing, and you should see my plant sprouting righ tnow. i owe it all to the transplant. this bigger container makes it so much easier to water as well.

my heart is broke!! i was going to do some LST. so much for low stress. i ripped off one of the leaves while doing it. my plant is no longer symmetrical. UHHGGG!!!

Ok so i woke up this morning, and boy was i suprised the plant grew over 2 inches last night and one of the leafs were burnt because it grew right up and was touching one of the CFL's. really surpsied considering alll the stress it went through last night. what a resilient plant! i am going to start flowering in 1 week. otherwise i think this plant will get to big.

Hey Bro wuts up TKJOE!!! glad to hear that ur starting ur flowering in about a week bro yesturday another week ended for me which was the end of the 4th week for me .. im still not sure wen exactly i want to start flowering my babies. I MITE also start next week and jus stay along the same page as u haha that'd be so kool but im thinking maybe i shud start the flowering in maybe 2 weeks instead of 1 more week... not sure tho yet... but O MAN BRO I LOVED THAT LINK you gave me i watched all 5 parts of it well the 5th one was just credits i think so i didnt really watch it

LOL but i saw all 4 PARTS for sure and o man that video was so interesting i jus sat bak opened it up full screen and jus rolled a joint to it and ate too lolll thanks so much for that link it did actually help out alot and it showed me that u can grow the plant even with the lowest of all lowest budgest meaning literally 0 dollars but atleast a bag of seeds and if u really put ur mind to it u can grow it with nature itself and by things around u ... i still havnt transplanted but i am going to take ur word since ur plants are happier since they moved imma give it a go also by today or tmr ... for now i still have that 1 light up bro of the 250 HPS light but im going to put up the second one also today so i will have a total of 500 watt HPS light system .. i just gotta go bak to the store because they gave me the rong reflector that goes on top they gave me a smaller one for one of the kits so imma deal with that and theeen hook that 2nd light up and hopefully it all goes well from there.. let me no if ur goin to still stick with starting ur flowering in a week from now? or are u down for another 2 weeks.. i think its really kool that we on the same page .. well bro thats enuff typing for me LOL take care KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK HAPPY GROWING BRO!

Ya Strain Hunters was so interesting i loved it too! I cant wait to taste that Pineapple flavour when they release it!

I started to do a bit of LST this morning too. i pulled down the opposite side of the plant where the branch ripped off last night. gotta get something there. i cant believe the growth i had last night though. It was the most growth over night ihave ever had. This plant just wants to take off. i think it could be due to the larger CFL bulb i put in last night.

before i had 2 42W (150w replacement) 6700K bulbs and 1 19w 2700k, but i replaced that 19w with a 42w 2700k and wow it made alot of difference. now is the exciting time. i will see if ican hold off 2 more weeks bro. i cant have this plant 6 feet tall though hahaha. ill have to start topping it or something. this are so good man! i cant wait to see what our plants are going to do over the next week!

OH how i love saturdays!!! So i went to one of my local hardwares stores, and picked up some light socket Splitters. im about to go to 6 lights, i just have to go to my other store to buy some more lights. but had to drop my car off to my gf cause she is going out of town. so i get a full day of playing with my plants! then work tonight UHGGG. cant wait to see the difference thats about to happen. cant wait to take pictures on monday when my Gf gets backwith my camera so i can show you guys my new set up. WOW things are getting awesome.

Thanks for stopping by my thread. Your plants looking good. I'm glad you figured the watering schedule out, i find that the hardest part of growing. btw, dry ice is 100% CO2 - would be great for your plants if you have a free supply lying around (I wish I did). I'm sure you've seen dry ice sublimate and know that CO2 is heavier than air. If you're using it make sure that it's getting released above the plants so it can fall over them versus just carpeting the floor. Also I highly suggest not laying on the floor to take a nap when using it

Keep it up! And yeah for more lights! More lights, more soil, more CO2 the better!

As promised, here are some pictures of the new light set up / wher ei moved the fan and cut a door out etc.... how my 1st attempt at LST is going etc..... Cant wait to here come comments and advice. im super happy with how this grow is going. i moved the lights for the pictures. it is now back a couple inches above the plant

SO i have been sitting here for a little bit wondering, what on earth could i make a hood out of for these lights! im thinking maybe another PIZZA box, but then i couldnt be able to get the ends from flopping over. anyone have any ideas?

DUDE i think that can definately work!!! im gonna have to go do that tomorro morning but it think i will have to take some sand paper to rough it up a bit as it may be to reflective and cause some burn spots, ill also look for some mylar! check out this read man, this guys posts are unreal. he is amazing. but there is a wicked spot on page 2 that he write about LST and topping. DEFINALTE worth the read!

So today, i release part of my LST, but also added some going another direction, as i could see there was a branch that wanted to compete on one of the sides for top position, so i think think it should take more than a day or 2 for it to catch up, then i think i will let it try and straighten out for a couple days because i try and bend it over backwards a bit, as there is alot of growth on the underside where it has been bent. im sure i can get another couple more competeing for the top! looks like i could end up with 7 or 8 top colas Cant wait!! Im getting very very close to flowering!! however, This plant is VERY VERY BUSHY, does anyone know, if i should prune some of these leaves off so i can get more light going into some of the stonger branches?

Umm I wouldint trim. Souly because they soak up the most "sun" from the leaves for the rest of the plant,Its what their there for! : )

UHHGGGG, got some growning spots on some of the tips of my leaves, and one of the shoots fighting for top cola is quite light in colour. frustration sets in this morning. the leaves aremt standing straing out anymore either. its cantbe from over watering because i hadnt watered much so i watered it yesterday and it helped a bit. the soil was quite dry but it isnt this morning. so in an hour or so i am going to drive bout 40km to a nursery that i found, they are open all year round, and should have some nutrients. I wonder what i am deficient in for nutrients. probably everything considering i dont have a natural fertilizer in the soil. wish i would have read the SUPER SOIL recipe in june or july haha.
