Keeping your sprays organic based is a good starter, just use edible friendly products and follow directions to stop x weeks before harvest, I'd recommend 2 weeks minimum if yours don't specify. I like getting my plants out for a good clean too, the only drawback is that you might bring nasties back into your grow space, but the benefits are worth it.
