Just a quick note on LED's I know alot of people who hate them, I did some research before I bought mine.. and I got a 300 watt tri-band LED ...."The triband has the missing colors that help with growing" The light is around 600 bucks and is bright ass hell...I will be posting some youtube movies and pics to show how to use them correctly, I have my camera set up in my room to show date and times .... it will be interesting! I just wish the Japs would not be still trying to get rid of the shitty LEDS.

Jesus $600!?!? I hope it works for you, I just wasn't ready to shell out that kind of money.

sounds bout right.. glowpanel pro is at like $600. I think the consensus is that with LED you need to dish out cash to get enough LEDs for it to work right. Personally i was going to use CFL's, now im jsut going to use the HPS/MH light i got .. and i am thinking in the future i will get one of these LED panels and use as a supplement purpose.. but other than that i wont invest in all LED. Maybe i woud if i had a greenhouse.

Yeah its alot of money...will see how it works....I have herd of people with lower power LEDS using CFL's to help out and they say it works great... I am going to try this triband alone, I will give you guys a link to my video ..see how it goes.

I think the cost of led's will plummet, just like they HAVE been doing for the last 10 years.
It's only a matter of time.

Plant update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I was being ignorant about ppm, I figured all strains wanted the same ppm.... WRONG! My bagseeds like about a 800-900 ppm. The Northern Lights like about 400-500 ppm so I burnt the shit out of my NL for the past week and as you can see in the picture the bagseeds are taking off. I started to LST the bagseed (BS2) because its a sativa strain, all of the other plants are indica. I'm going to start to flower by the end of this week depending on how the NL girls are doing. The bagseeds are close to a foot tall. If the sativa girls weren't tied down they would be about 1.5 ft tall. :leaf: (last pic is some tasty LA Confidential)

lol thats better off than me.. i dont even hv a damn ppm meter yet. I don't even know which to get.. some say TDS, some say EC meter.. some say the EC is more accurate.

I hv no idea. I just know i need to order one soon ;)

TDS is the same as and EC except multiplied by either 500 or 700 depending on the manufacturer. I got mine for a little more than $50 from Control Wizard.

from what i read it is that EC is more accurate than TDS meter.. but it seems reading the PPM is easier than the EC for most folks. I'll prolly get one of those hanna sticks for now.. in the future i will invest the $150 or so for a full ph/ec/tds meter, them digital ones :)

I change my grow room more often than I change my socks. The NL is finally starting to get some grow, they are about 9", the bagseeds are between 12"-14"

plants'r lookin good dude. Quick question, when did you transfer into the net pots? I hv mine in the rw cubes still, and its at 1 wk now.

Also, this might be stupid question but in the net pot when i transfer it.. do i lay the hydro rocks a little bit on the bottom first b4 i put the cube in.. or do i just put in the cube and cover it with the rocks? It just seems to me i shouldn't just put the cube into the empty pot as the root stickin out bottom of rw cube would end up just flattening. Im wondering do i layer a bit of rocks on the bottom and make like a crease for the root?

I put some of my seeds in rockwool as soon as they cracked and moved them to my DWC, it worked really well. I put enough Hydroton so the top of the RW was even with the top of the netpod. If you don't have roots yet keep the water level almost touching the RW so the Hydroton stays wet and the RW moist. If you are using pods larger than 3" then it would be better if you could cover the RW with Hydroton by placing the cube in the middle of the pod. :leaf:

Ya i figured out last night from digging up threads.. pple say to leave the RW about 1/4-1/2 inch below edge of pot. Im using the 4" ones right now.

I didn't really want to put it under the 600 mh yet but they've stretched so tall and its gettin dangerous so i'll hv to set it up today. I have a digital light like yours from HTG, but i have a grow tent (not ceiling beam) so i need to figure out a good way to install the light. The rods at the top of my grow tent are just steel rods, i cant screw the screws in that HTG supplied. Im bout to ghetto rig some shoelaces just for today since they closed alreayd.

lol i called the retail store instead.. since their 1800 is closed. Anyway the guy basically told me its ok to just ignore those screws into a ceiling beam and just use some rope/shoestring and rig it up to those rods at the top of my tent. So im off to try

I changed my set up again... surprised? Started flowering about 3 days ago :leaf:

I had a couple plants that wouldn't fit in my set up but I made a tupperware DWC with a aerogarden hood, but they got too big so I planted them outside.

The 300w is a beast, on their website they have a couple of pictures of the 300w being used commercially.
I bought 4 red led screw in lights. 10W each. No info on lumens but bright as hell and billed as the spectrum plants want most.
For start and veg to about 10 inches high, they are useful and low watt usage. Had them over an aero rig and growth was very good up to about 10", they almost stopped growing until hps and mh was introduced. Interesting. I have them in flower room now (about 2 months) with a 400w hps just to see what they will do. I started by turning them on for the first and last hour of the day cycle. Next week went to first and last two hours of day, etc. Don't know if they help, but they don't seem to hurt and some sweet stink is coming out of the vent now....
I will try cfls for the next flower cycle and see if there's any difference.

My humidity stays around 50%-55% that white thing the desk fan is sitting on is a air cooler / humidifier, although the 600 watt light keeps it pretty humid in there.

I took out 3 boys today you can see pics here: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/183725-do-i-see-nuts.html, that leaves me 9 plants. I am about 95% sure that 7 are girls. The other two havn't shown anything yet but there sativa so we'll see! :leaf:
thats good.. im tryin desperately to get my humidity up. My growbright hygrometer (which i actually think isn't so great) read L0% for the first few days, now i got a honeywell humidifier in there and it reads like 25-28%. Thats cause the range is 20%-90% humidity so in reality it hasn't gone much. Now i got a pale of water and 2 wet towels hanging in there and humidity is up to 34%. What a mess.

My 12 sprouts.. 6 have lived. Pretty coincidental actually, 3 snow whites and 3 LSD lol. I've combined to one tub now. I messed this grow up bad.. those were fem seeds too :(. At least hopefully i'll have 2 mothers to work with.
