First grow- need some advice

Hey guys so heres the situation. I have an empty house that ive decided to do a little bit of growing in. I plan on using a big bud strain and vegging under 4- 4 ft CFL's along with a small MH 70-150 watt. and then switching to two 600 watt HPS systems with some CFL's for flowering. If this is the only electricity + the window AC +needed fans and what not that i will be using do you think it will throw a red flag. Also i still havent decided on a medium, i want what ever you guys think will produce the most yield ( i plan on around 20 feminized plants). so for a start what do you guys think?
 
i dont think it will throw a red flag just keep an eye on your utility bill ...i know that with a 400HPS runing for vegg and flower cuz i dont own a MH....my power bill is only between 60-70 dollers .... so no i dont think it will throw a flag up... i think youll be fine
 
Yeah.....2 600 watters wont throw up a red flag......your good......have you ever grown before.....???I ask because you don't know what medium you will be using........and want advice on which to use as far as yield...........that said any hydroponic medium or no medium like aero (some aero set ups do use little but of medium) will yield more but are less forgiving..........
 
If its a empty house than i would think that it using electricity period is a red flag. maybe not. idk. be careful tho cuzz the grow houses that no-one lives in are easy to bust. look it up. almost all busts are in grow houses or outside.
If its ur first than try soil. All organic soil with organic nutes provides for natural and better flavor. hydro will supply larger yields though. try a soil mix of 1/3 perlite/ 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 soil. worm castings on bottom of pot help too. Guano is good for nutes. This is only my opinion but I know its a nice method.

i think im going to use COCO it just sounds superior from all the reading ive done. but as far as the house goes its not under my name and the previous owner never shut off the electricity so im just going to keep paying the electric bill... ill be there prob most everyday so the few neighbors that live there wont get to suspicious and what not. the room is in the back of the house and im going to set up a fake living room in the front so if anyone looks through the front window it will just look like a normal room. am i missing anything?

Good idea....maybe put some timers on the house lights so they turn off and on at certain times to make it seem someone is inside...maybe a tv set to turn off and on too......
 
well it should just seem like new owners moving in... it hasnt always been empty, but yea we plan on doing the t.v thing also. also i will be riding a bike there so my car will never be there either. how much do you think i can expect to yield from around 18 plants of big bud if i flower them around 4-5 feet, prob closer to 5? or if easier how much from just one plant. again i expect to be growing a big bud strain.

Depends on how much big bud stretches,,but generally cannabis plants double in size in the flowering cycle.....so veg to around 2-3 feet, that will give 4-5 foot plants.........

missing anything...yes..a sense of reality.thats a lot of money thats gonna be lost when either new owners/bank shows up.if its a newer house its just not gonna sit there forever.and if its an older pretty much abandoned house...id be worried about starting fires.and i would imagine the power will get shut off....how are you paying the bill in the first place?this just sounds like a bad idea all around to me.for a first grow..keep it small,simple,and easy to hide.

your power bill was only between $60-$70, was that the whole bill with your regular electrical usage, such as regular home lighting, appliances, tv, etc.? or was that the sole price of the lighting operation per month?
