Agreed not even remotely close. Maybe 6 weeks or longer. And seriously the loupes cost a whopping 6-8 bucks and usb microscopes are all of 16 bucks. So, i don't have a magnifier or a microscope, neither money to buy it atm, but i shot some pics with a magnifier app, and got these pictures... Inside these red circles I could identify some amber trichs, but i don't know if this little lady is ready to be chopped down. Can u guys help me? View attachment 4204268 View attachment 4204269
Even if I want a more "inside my head" effect, right? How many weeks are we talking about? Thank you so much for you help, as first time grower I was a little afraid of mess things up, glad I asked it first. Not even close ... you are looking at the wrong places anyways .... those areas mature at a different rate than on the bud itself.
You have weeks to go based on the pics.
The calyx area is the place to judge ripeness
Yeah I know, i was talking about how I don't have it >ATM<, but I can get one next week, I was just worried that the time to chop her down was like... now.Agreed not even remotely close. Nah you’ve got awhile. An yes I seen atm but I mean I can come up with 6 bucks out of my washing machine easy. When you get one look to the bud no the, eaves around the bud those will amber well before the bud.Yeah I know, i was talking about how I don't have it >ATM<, but I can get one next week, I was just worried that the time to chop her down was like... now.
Up to 6 ... BUT .....Even if I want a more "inside my head" effect, right? How many weeks are we talking about? Thank you so much for you help, as first time grower I was a little afraid of mess things up, glad I asked it first.
Up to 6 ... BUT .....
Know that ripening is NOT an exact science, we speak on AVERAGES for when it SHOULD BE READY. When you hit the time where the MAJORITY of triches are cloudy opaque then you are pretty much where you want to be , Amber means degrade ... I judge on OVERALL bud . What I get on many different bud areas.
It is not uncommon to harvest PARTIALLY ( the most mature OR at different “ stages “ of doneness )
Example :
You could harvest the main colas ( at peak ) - best of both kind of high .
Or at little less for a different high ( but too early is racy kind of buzz )
Or leave the mid buds to run a little longer ( more amber ) for a more Body Stone.
Plus .... some strains will be Daddy genetic heavy or vice versa MOM side heavy.
Yep, mine is outdoor and just for personal use aswell... But being my first grow, is commom to have so many questions lol, I'm growing her all natural 12/12 and water, nothing more, hope this lady give me a nice high.Back when I grew outdoors I never had a loop or anything for reference I just went by the hair once it turned mostly brown to all brown and shriviling up it was close maybe a week or 2 left.
I grew for personal use same as now only comparisons I had back then was "brick weed" so it came out great lol now a days I'm sure others will give you much better advise.
