ok so heres an update, ive bin talking to reggaerican about wtf i should do lol.. and he has bin more then helpful replying back to me while he himself is hard at work on his own grow.. which is awsome by the way! I've bin trying to figure out what to do with what light, and how many i can grow at once in the vegging stage, and how often i can harvest.. i need to put this setup to the absolute best it can be with what i have already equipment wise.. again, i need to have as much harvested weed as possibly by JULY.


i have bin debating on pot sizes, and transfering when, for how long, under what light etc. these are the options i have came up with without really buying anything other then more soil and more pots/containers.

OPTION 1 (veg. mothers under 400watt)

-16 clones in 6" pots under LED (for 2 weeks)
-transplant to 16 10" pots and flower under 1000watt HPS (flower for 8 weeks)
-harvest

(this being a 10 week grow to harvest cycle of 16 plants)

OPTION 2 (this being of course if i veg my mothers under 1000watt MH)

-16 clones in 6" pots under LED (for 2 weeks)
-transplant to 16 10" pots and put under 400watt MH 7200k to veg. (for 2 weeks)
-begin flowering under 400watt MH 7200k (for 2 weeks)
-continue flowering under 400watt MH, switch bulb to 3200k (for 2 weeks)
-move 16 plants to 1000watt HPS (for 4 weeks)
-harvest

(this being a 12 week grow to harvest cycle of 16 plants becuz of the extra week of veg.)

these would be the cycles.. at what time i would cut clones and fill the LED again im not sure.. that all depends on how often i want/can harvest. still trying to figure that out.. and i know the cycle with the 400 is longer, but i think it would b kool and interesting to c if building up the red spectrum slowly like that would help yeilds at all.

but i can fit 16 6" pots under the LED at one time only, and i can fit 32 10" under the 1000watt HPS on a 6' rail with light mover at one time only aswell. these are the numbers i have to work with..

the first option is a little sketchy cuz i would be transplanting after only 2 weeks in the 6" to a 10" into flower.. doesnt seem like such a good idea to stress them out by transplanting just at the beginning of flower.

im sure there are a million other better ideas, but im trying to not spend much money right now, just need to get some harvests in, mayb after that i will invest in other equipment like hydroponics..

so if anyone has any other ideas that i can do with pots and soil id really appreciate the help. i could do 12" buckets instead of 10" pots but i think it will be too crowded cuz im saying:

8'x4' under 1000watt on light mover
4'x4' under 400watt
2.5'x2.5' under LED panel

either way these are my demensions so.. thanx in advance!

dono if u meant me or actually lime, jus lime hasnt posted in a lil while on this thread, but either way I def. need to take some pics.
what do u think of option 2 reggae? i dont exactly have to veg. under the 400watt, but it would make a big difference in yeild, and it would help with the transplant.. or would the 2 weeks of flowering under the 7200k spectrum be enough to handle the transplant?

and when would i cut clones to keep the SOG going?

I say use as many lights as possible to veg for a month(that means the 400w, 1000w, and LED's((more light the better)) get them really big((make sure you bend every part of every plant so that there forced to strengthen))<---this really helps, I bend my plants everyday. Then once you flower them up under all that light they'll be tall and thick and able to support way more bud. Just my opinion. I know any ideas at the moment will suffice hahaha KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

thanx for the input guys.. that does sounds like a good idea, however will it be the most bud by july as apposed to a SOG grow or something else??? this is the main qustion. AND i would only be able to flower with the 400watt with a 3200k bulb, and the 1000watt on a light mover.. so its hard to say id be able to fit everything when i started budding.. either way tho. i think SOG is the best so far

me too man! i know how you feel.. ive only ever topped and LST'd, ive only ever harvested 2 autogrowers, but they were just the side test aside from like 40 plants at the time, then i got rid of a bunch cuz of the sider mights and i'll update where i am in a sec, stick around. ive only ever grown in soil aswell, ive tryed a mini dwc out of a water bottle cutt in half and flipped into the bottom and grown in the top so the roots slowly move thru the tip of the bottle into the bottom with water/nutrients with an air pump.. it worked pretty good but the roots began to get brown so i transplanted it to soil.. might try it again sometime and keep it going.. and i am now flowering it actually.. its my G13 plant.. the roots were doing really good at the start but i said fuck it not risking a nice strain and planted it into some pro-mix HP.

heres some pics.. 2 are july 22nd, 2 are aug. 5th, 2 are aug.8th.. pretty sure i put them in order.

this is where the G13 is now, it was bushier and had its big leaves and everything but long story short becuz of those spider mites i did alot of trimming and everything, but as u can see new growth is coming along great.. but reggae this is what i was talking about being root bound, im a week into flowering and im worried this is really going to mess with it.. i thot about buying a bunch of smart pots for my perpetual becuz of this..

gibbs are you kidding me you are knowere near being rootbound yet... you will make it to havest easily...

i dont think you are going to have a problem with rootbound, those pots are huge

lol i havent had any symptoms so i didnt think so either but i was concerned just cuz thats the only bucket i have u can see the roots in.. and the roots are at the bottom.
