DAY 34 of FLOWER: (Total Days in Res: 69 or 70 I believe)

What a time I had when I got home. I started to move just the lights and other stuff for the girls and I just said fuck it and moved everything. I did it quick, so no problems except for breaking one plant, luckily it was the runt so it is not so bad. I used a pen & blue painters tape to mend it, I have no idea what to do. I'll probably google it and regardless, I have to take a break until tonight when I can go back out there.

Not only that, but when I was moving the one res that has 4 in it, coincidentally where the runt is, one of the net cups was kind of sideways because one of the plants was bent over, and BLAM, I spilled a small piece of 2x8 that had a few ounces of straight fox farms SOIL on it (don't ask...lol) and it couldn't have fallen in a worse spot. The dirt went right in the res and all over the roots. Holy Hell! Luckily nobody was home so I drenched each net pot and the roots with straight H20 and dumped new nutes in there. I also replaced the nutes on the one in the 5 gallon bucket, but didn't have a chance to get the last one. I can pretty much wait until Sunday if I need to change it as that will be 1 week old nutes. No biggie, but I did want to do them all at the same time.

I also implemented the Botanicare 'Sweet' to the mix, and took out the GH FloralNectar. The Sweet product looked like it was a bit more potent coming out of the jar, but then again I don't think they're exactly the same thing.

Well, the plants finally have room to breath. Man, what a difference. Now, I can get some pics hopefully tonight, latest tomorrow night.

Goodnight & Good Luck. :weed:

RE-orginization always sucks man. Already my tent looks like a bowl of spaghetti wires again and i just got things nice before the grow! Its alot like work man. But theres nothing like smoking ur own bud!
Bro the bent plant should mend up fairly quick. LOL i tried to actually "supercrop" and pinch a few tops a couple weeks ago to help with stretching but it didnt fail all the tops where standing back up and completely healed in a couple days.
Cant wait to see the new set-up man. Good stuff.

You know that's what everyone is telling me, that once you smoke your own bud, it's a whole different ballgame.

Well, the runt plant didn't bend, it freakin snapped like a twig... you literally could hear it. It was hanging on by maybe 1/5 of the original stem. It broke about 8 or so inches from the net cup. Pretty much when I finished the whole move ordeal was when I had to stop so I'll be taking some pics of the break and of the other more fruitful plants themselves.

Question for you and of course anyone reading this is more than welcome to respond:

I used a freakin' pen and blue painters tape to mend. I'm guessing that can't be good but I had to work QUICK and that is all I had handy and all that sprung to mind in the minutes that followed.

So.... Is there a better way to band-aid ?

Thank you & as the Roseman would say... "Let peace and love be your guide"

I snapped one of my plants a few weeks ago. What I did was bandaged it up with tissue, wet it and cut a small piece of tubing, and wrapped it around the break. Like plaster cast if you broke your arm. I kept it wet and on for a week. And now its my biggest plant.

I think there might be a picture in my journal, with a yellow garden hose/tubing wrapped around my main stem.

Hey nas ive never tried to mend a snapped stalk bro. But what u did as fast u did it im sure u gave it the best chance possible man. Ive heard of worse splints than that. It may slow and stunt the plant trying to heal. These plants are like weeds man. Vigourous and almost have to burn them down to get um to stop growing. I heard a snap to when i snapped my main cola purposely trying to supercrop a little bit back. It even sprayed hydro mix at me haha. But like i said its standing again right now and mended haha. Ill take pix of the heal. U may be fine bro. Just see what happens.

Luckily this one didn't have much growth on it because it was the runt and literally didn't get any light... so, now that it does I can give it however long to do its thing eh...

True. Until later on today... Peace. :joint:

5 WEEKS INTO THE FLOWERING PHASE:

I must say that the hardest part of this whole process for me has been TAKING DECENT FREAKIN' PICTURES. It's either when the 400w HPS is on and the light is too bright or the lights are off and I can't see that well.

In any case, I was literally taking pictures with our new videocamera, a sony, fairly decent, that takes pics too but no freakin' flash. I know, I know... we're about to pull the trigger on a fat camera for my wife so I'm just waiting to find a good one.

Everything looks pretty good and the plants are getting to stretch a bit and I was able to take some shots (with my camera phone though) of the whole area, kind of. I am now finally able to tell which plant is Snow White and which plant is Venus.

Oh... I also started a separate clone room, just an experiment but we'll see how it goes.

Thank you for stopping by. ;-)

Anyone who says CFLS can do the same as hps. Just look and mine and your grow. Started the same time, your flowering seems weeks ahead of mine. CFL might work but not like HPS. nothing near.

Yo Rocco! As Mick would say: "... You're gonna eat lightning, and you're gonna crap thunder!..."

What goes in, comes out in the end. True man, and both is better too I guess...

YUMMMM this grow is really getting tasty
Which ones are venus and which ones are snow white??

Much appreciated.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure the dark colored leaf one's with the white-ish buds are the Snow White, and the more milder contrast between the leaf & bud are the Venus. I could be wrong. I still have to get in there and tag them so I know for sure. With Easter and everything I haven't had time.

I may be taking a look at them later with a friend so hopefully I'll know for sure once I get another set of eyes on 'em.

Peace.

i think it was 2004 when we had them 4 storms in florida i had plants growing outside and 2 snapped off with just about a1/4of the stem holding on i tapped them up with duct tape and they were fine i think it made them a little better. reefer plants are allot tougher than we think they are

Yeah, that runt is doing well. The tape splint I made did the trick.

I should have some pictures up shortly, the buds are really starting to fill in.

Thank you for stopping by !!!

Good to here the splint worked for ya. Can't wait to see your next update (pics).

My plants seem to be taking forever. I its like they are only 2 weeks int flower. Just starting to recover now. Planned on harvesting the first week of May, not a chance now. Luck if its Mid June.
