First Grow - How is it looking?

I’ve only grown 3 plants. But from what I’ve learned and the amount of white pistils and lack of swelling. I would say that you can ask the same question in another 3-4 weeks when they look more mature and swelled up. And there’s plenty of veteran growers on here that can give you a good guesstimation then.

I agree with jman here. I feel like you are looking at 3 or 4 weeks on the first one. And maybe 5 on the other one.

I kind of figured that.

Sunflower bloomed!
I also did some light defoliation this morning because a lot of the upper fan leaves were blocking light from reaching the middle/lower section and some of the leaves in the middle section were clumping up. Hopefully I did more good than harm by doing that. I think I'm around week 5 of flower, I have lost track. I also used some twine and wrapped it around that lower branch that is hanging down and connected it to a power cord above to get it higher (picture taken before I did that).

Here's my first shot at a grow, first week in flowering, i started it outside and didn't get but a month of growth seems tiny to me lol

This is what mine looked like before I put them into flower, this is when I had 4 plants and had to remove the 2 that were male.
You can see how much bigger they got when they started flowering.

Update: Some of the branches are starting to droop over. I assume from the weight of the bud.
I wasn't prepared for this and not sure what to use to hold them up better.
I guess this is why people use trellis nets.

They look great. I’m sure if you type it in the search bar you’ll find all kinds of threads with creative ways to support those branches.

Looking good, esp for a first grow. The first few grows are meant to be learning experiences, push your boundaries a little bit each time and try new things. Definitely research all the popular training techniques, lst, topping, mainlining, etc. You're doing a good job at the actual growing part, so I think you're going to have a blast in your next grow if you control your bud sites and canopy and defoliate a bit. Something that will work to hold up your fat buds are "plant yoyos", I think hydrofarm makes expensive ones and there are plenty of generics. You could tie them up yourself, but these things save you time, effort, and a lot of frustration over using something like string or fishing line.

Anyone care to speculate how much bud this tiny thing will produce? First grow so I truly have no idea lol.

I know for sure I harvested 1 of them too early but it was starting to herm so instead of tossing it I just hung it up to dry.
If its shit, then whatever.
