I'll post the root ball if it's even worth it. I assume you have to check it out right at harvest but I'm still curious how a plant like this did in a 5gal. If it's crazy I might up to 7gal next time haha

I have mold!!!! I'm devistaded! Temps have been 67-71 and humidity at 50%. I have a fan pointed away from them and the exhaust on. Not even sure how this happened what should I do with the ones without mold. Should I break up all the buds and lay them out to dry?

I'm cutting up the buds that show a tiny tiny sign of Cobb webbing. And placing them on a screen. And removing any full blown mold. I'm thinking about just cutting it all up and screen drying it. They're sooo dense I can see why it's happening :( I mean I'm too annoyed to even take a photo lol

First thing. Dont panic.

My recommendation would be to immediately destem your nugs, meaning take them off the main stems of the plant and seperated. As you do this check spots in the center for mold and all around the bud. Seperate the ones that have it from the ones that dont. Id then break the bits off in particular that have mold directly on them and quick dry those and save it for edibles or whathaveyou.

Id check on them often and maybe do what you said if it gets worse but ive dealt with mold when drying due to very high humidity many times and gotten through it with only a few moldy nugs

Should I de stem them all? I was just de stemming the ones with a small sign of mold. Only one nug had like full mold. The others it just seems to be deep inside the top of the nugs.

You dont have to but imo leaving them like that is leaving the same conditions it occured in, even if theres no mold inside them rn it may form because you choose not to destem.. I really dont understand why it happened in your setup either. Sounds pretty perfect. You sure your hygrometer is right?

I'm going to destem the big guys even if they don't have mold. The airier little ones seem just fine to keep hanging but I think I figured it out. Look back at my harvest pic. That bud that that I thought burn at the top. That might have been root rot and the bud or buds might have started to get bud rot before I even took them down? Sound possible or no?

Idk why you say root rot there? Root rot and bud rot are unrelated. But its possible if you had high humidity or low circulation

Oh I thought maybe if the roots had issues the bud may have been dying on the inside area without me knowing. Ugh. This is rough man. I don't even have enough screen things to lay the. Use on. Should I point the fan on low at them? Is the tent now contaminated? Are my fingers and the scissors now contaminated lol?

The mold was there the whole time. It just needed the conditions to grow

I wouldnt point the fan at them unless you want crappy bud. Again dont panic

Pics of the nugs with mold would help me to tell you if you should really be worried lol

This was the one MAJOR one. The others that have it are very small amount. Maybe 10 of the cola type amounts. You want a pic of the tiny amounts of mold?
