Just looking for some of you pros out there to let me know how things are going so far.

- 2x2x4 grow tent
- 4in inline fan, carbon filter, passive intake on the bottom. Vent through top
- Green crack fem (2 plants)
- 8 days old (from breaking surface)
- 4 23 watt 5500k cfls over each plant, about 3in away
- 24/0 lighting
- Soil- small part ffof, Vermiblend, roots organic Soilless, vermiculite, Exta large perlite

Temps have been up and down a bit, trying to get the tent stabilized but it's tough with this winter weather. Lows of 68, highs of 75. Currently stabilized at 75 with RH of 30%
Have been misting the soil to keep humidity around the plant higher. Hope to include an oscillating fan when they get a bit taller, cfl hoods would block the wind right now

I think the bent/twisted leaves were either from the lights being too close/humidity/or just genetic deformation. Who knows??
Other plant is smaller but more normal looking. This guy is much bigger

Mine around that time looked just like em. Curled like that. Havent had any issues since then. U can use a fan now to help strenghten up her stem and branches but do it inderectly at em. I grow in a 2x2x4 also. I keep my cfls which are 65w a piece about 3 to 4 inches above. Do a hand test. I ran mine for 24/0 for the first 2 weeks and switched to 20/4. im actually flipping to flower next weekend. im at 5 weeks from sprout. They look fantastic. Great soil mix too. Shouldnt have to add nutes for a cpl weeks. Im using fox farms of and i added a lil dose of root stimulant amd ended up burning my plant

Theyll get plenty big in flower. Id keep em short an stacky.
Awesome! Thanks for all the info bro! Yeah I kept this soil mix lighter on the ffof/vermiblend and went heavier on the roots organics soilless/perlite. I have a more balanced mix to transplant them into when I go to 5gal pots. Probably won't fill the whole pot tho lol. I'll keep the lights low like they are unless I see problems. I'm thinking about trying to mainline them but Im worried about having issues while doing it (with nutrients/environment/etc). Either that or top them twice and LST the crap out of them hahaha.

Your plants look amazing btw!!! Hope to have some flat green leaves like that!

Don't be afraid of Mainlining your plants super simple super effective.. way better use of space.. shoot for just eight tops at first.. have fun!

Update.
Day 10 from seed.

Growth continues but seems very slow. Left the window open in the attic (where the tent is) last night to try and bring some of the humidity in. Didn't work. Temps were 66 all night and 30% RH. Today the sun came out, finally and it hit 68 outside. Temps in the tent when I got home were 82, which is nice! the girls haven't seen tropical temps yet haha (highest has been 76, i know 82 is a bit high but hopefully they enjoyed the short lived warmth). However the humidity went down to 25%. The up and down weather outside is making it insanely hard to control the tent. Im not in a "rush" for them to grow, just want them to be where they should be at 14 days, ya know?

Looked up some grow info on the Green Crack strain and apparently it likes 50% RH. I put our essential oil vaporizer thing inside the tent with plain water hahaha. Just to see if it would actually bring the humidity up. Ive also tried wet towels hanging and bowls of water. Ive come to the conclusion that my 4in inline fan (on low) is just way too good at exchanging the air... 207 cubic inches pulling through a 200 cubic inch carbon filter. I get very good negative pressure in the tent hahaha.

Anyway the ladies look fine I think Im just being impatient? From what Ive read they really start blowing up after week 2/3 of seedling?
Raised the lights up another inch to see if theyll stretch a bit.
Ill post up another image in a second.

They look pretty healthy! not a bad idea spraying the tent to get the rh up. Careful of misting the plants and having the lights close. the little droplets act as a magnifying glass and might end up having little burn spots on your fan leaves. I move my lights way up and do more of an even mist over em. Usually end up spraying them a lil bit closer to when its lights out. and i touch the leaves a lil bit to get the excess off. They r still pretty young so make sure to just give them straight water. Youre doing a great job. Awesome grow so far

I think I read somewhere about using an aquarium pump and airstone in a container of water to raise humidity.. Just leave it open and let the bubbles do the work.. I've never done it cause my humidity is to high but it might be worth a try.. your plants are doing fine!

Stopped back at my local hydro store and talked to the guy for a while. He suggested if my lights are on 24/0 that my fan doesn't need to be. So I put it on a timer set at 15min intervals. Temps high at 82 RH 38% and plants look way happier . Also picked up a small clip fan, and some Neptunes Harvest Fish and Seasweed organic fert, he threw in some potash booster for free! The soil was just a bit moist underneath this morning (probably should have waited until tonight) but I gave them both a dose of that (neptunes) at normal strength. See what happens. If I come home to yellow tips it was too much. If not...were all good :). I'll post photos when I get home

Inline fan scheduled at 15 min off 30 min on, I believe lol. Growing along. Leaves still won't "flatten out" and go pin straight. Not sure what the issue is. No nute burn from the feeding. First pics are the little guy and a side view. Second plant is the big guy and some issues he's had (any guesses)? Still both are very short but almost on their fourth node I think?! Raised the lights up another inch. Tiny in tent fan was on high last night (not on timer). I think that added to the 10 degree difference in temps. I put it on low and we'll see what the temps look like later on (high/low). Smells like weed in the tent. Didn't think they smelled until flower haha???

Update
Day 13 from sprout.

Tomorrow the girls are 2 weeks old exactly. I guess most people would say this is the beginning of Veg Week 1. Soil would be completely dry by tomorrow morning (still a bit moist a knuckle deep) but I went ahead and gave them their first official feeding and first official full pot saturation (with 10% runoff)

- 1 gal spring water
- 1 tbps Natures Harvest Fish/Seaweed
- 3 tsp Grow Big FF nutrients (this is half strength for a week 1 feeding)
- 3 ml Cal-Mag
- Botanicare ZHO root inoculant (sprinkled on soil.

Mixed my nutrients. PH'd to 6.3 and watered over the ZHO. Watered both until runoff.

PH'd runoff for the big girl was 6.0 and 5.9 for the little one. Seems about right? Went a little crazy just to see how they would react. If the tips burn a bit I'll ease up. Will water with fresh PH'd water of 6.8 next time around. Happy growing!!!

Also RH has been awesome and between 38%-53%. Temps between 69-81...

Feeding seems to have gone beautifully...not only is there no burn (I'm assuming they react quite quickly if too much nutrient is added? Has been 3 hours) but all of the fan leaves on the big guy have straightened out considerably.
Either she has been thirsty her entire life or the soil mix I made for the seedlings wasn't a high enough % of soil/manure

50% Roots Organics Soilless coco
10% Fox Farm Ocean Forest
10% Vermiblend
10% Vermiculite
20% Growstone coarse large rocks

I didn't want the seedlings in too hot of a soil to start... Maybe I should have just started them in the blend I have mixed for transplant haha. Either way they seem much happier after eating :bigjoint:
Unless I wake up tomorrow and they're burnt to shit ha!
Anyway temps in the tent are slightly unstable again. Had a spike to 91 today lol. Was at 83 when I went in. Switched my timer to 30min on 30 min off (for the inline fan) it was at 15 on 45 off. This should be a lot better. Hopefully I don't get lows lower than 68...

Happy growing!!!
