Hey, I would have your 600w atleast 2-3 ft away when they are just getting out of the soil.. 12inch would burn them to death exsp... without a cooltube.. Also I would have started them in a dome with root starters then into soil.. Then they wouldn't have to deal with soil having stuff in it and possibly burning them again.. Also with the 600w you could get 20+ autos under it with 7inch pots.. Ive seen 46 under 1 600w cool tube.. They all get around a zip.. JMO.. But GL

cheers RB1956 much appreciated! to be honest im struggling to fit 10 autos under the light at the mo, and they are probs a around 16 inchs above the first 2 leaves and its quite warm but not hot

UPDATE: my 10 NL are now under the light and have been for just over 4 and a half hours and im fuckin excited to say the least! they were around 2 inches tall when they went under and im thinkin they may have stretched towards the sun too much?? any ideas?? room temp is 30 degrees/ 85 fahrenheit, i think this is the ideal temp but again seein as im a noob im not really too sure
need to installa carbon filter asap but funds arent allowing me for a few weeks n hope they will be ok until then......pics will follow if i can figure out how to upload pics off phone to laptop!

looks good now but when they start to take off your gonna run out of room and half of them wont get enough light, maybe a second lamp? just an idea, maybe put 1-4 of them outside and let nature do the work.

i think my filter & fan was under 100 bucks on ebay its a bit loud but i think it would fit your room nicely 6" 240 cfm

Yea I was thinking another light is probably the best way it's just too much cost at the mo so probably do it on the next run and cant put them outside since I live in England the weather isn't right outside lol I'm looking at carbon filters and I will invest in one in a week or so, again it's money! But thats must!
The heat is worrying me, it hit 94 Fahrenheit this morning but I opened the door n got it down to 76 degrees

UPDATE: after only 20 hours under lighting these girls have grown so much! I didnt realize how quick these autos grow and im incredibly impressed so far!

The carbon filter I'm lookin at atm is a 5" inline extraction fan and filter and covers 280 m3/h will this be enough for a room 6ft x 2.5ft x 6ft???

5" is a odd ball size 4" is to expensive and everyone carries a 6" easy to find ducting and what not at the hardawre store there cheap because of the quantity of them floating around 280 cfm should be ok for smell if its a open hood and not a tube then i doubt it will control the heat the fan might be 280 cfm or what ever but the filter is going to drag it down alot may not be enough for a cool tube even never used one but i know how hot those lights get

Yea your right a 6" is the way forward, no point trying to save a few bob when it comes to the smell lol any ideas on howiI can keep the temps under control??

UPDATE DAY 6: most of them are looking great a couple are looking slightly smaller than the others but then I guess they dont all grow exactly the same. Temps are now under control now, well more than they were anyway, keeping them around 26-29 degrees with a fan blowing on them gently.

Checked on them this morning and they are growing their second set of proper leaves now, is this a good thing? Dont forget I'm a total novice here!! The soil is mostly wet and I hear most people say lightly water them so I think I might have over done it a bit. PH is between 6.3/4-6.8 is this ok?

I think I need a fair amount of guidance so feel free to comment or whatever!

Hey. I personally think your going to be fine.. I mean your using 7" pots 1.5-1.75g and your running autos..lol people.. Like I said ive seen 32 or 40 plants cant remember which, running autos in 7or8" pots in a 4x4 and guy got alittle over 1 GPW.. Just put a couple of stakes in each pot and tie the side branches to them so your plants grow a bunch of colas(without LST to much stress for autos) and don't get to branchy try to keep them inside there own pot is what im trying to say so you maximize your space and your light.. JMO.. But you wont run out of room unless your in a 2x2x4 space or less then you might be in trouble.. GL

cheers mate!

they are now 12 days old under lights and one isnt lookin so healthy any more...i found one of the larger ones liein nearly flat on the soil with the top at near on a 90 degrees angle pointin towards the light. the stem doesnt seem to be as thick as the others and its really yellow, ive not treated it any different from the others so m a lil confused why it seems to be dying since the others are doin really well.....ive not been using any nutes or anythin but PH balanced water, this is the one, anyone have any ideas what it could be? day 9.jpg by the way the metal ring is just to prop her up so i could take the pic, anyways heres the others day 9 (2).jpgday 9 (3).jpgday 9 (11).jpgday 9 (6).jpgday 9 (4).jpg
