First grow ever- Scottyballs style waterfarm grow with LED and SCROG- help welcomed

So this is my first time growing anything. I've been reading as much as I can while getting my setup together and have gone over the Scottyballs grown numerous times. Now it's time to finally see what I can do.

Here's my setup

-DR60 grow tent (24"X24"X5'3")
-Pro source worldwide 90W LED- (These are supposed to be the super legit grow LED...so anyone interested in seeing how well they work will see) My 2'X2' area seems to be the best set up for this light.
-1 Waterfarm
-1- 6 inch exhaust booster fan (245 CFM)
-Nutes- FloraNova Bloom
-Using RO water
-A better air pump good for tanks up to 60 gallons.
-Light schedule 18/6

So I started my setup by drilling a ton more holes in the waterfarm bucket. I washed the ever living hell out of the hydroton...and I even superglued that brown piece that connects the air line to the white tube.

I germinated the seed in paper towel on May 3rd and it just sprouted today. I placed it in the middle of the hydroton like Scottyballs suggests. (That airpump is spitting water out like crazy)

All my knowledge right now is theory to me...any veteran growers who feel like mentoring an eager to learn student please do. I'm going to follow the Scottyballs grow as close to the letter as I can and see if I can get some wild yield my first time out. And with some help that might just happen.

my early advice here which im sure you know is to just run straight ph'd r/o water. for the first week or 2.

what they dont tell you is to check the water daily. check ph and ec/ppm. if it is going up change it. even if it means you have to change it every day for a few days (just until the hydroton levels out a bit). i found no matter how hard i wash my hydroton it still can cause the ppm's to rise quick and it burns seedlings. it may or may not happen just keep an eye on it just in case.

You were right ForgetIwashere...my ppm went up to 99ppm. Good call.

And thanks Dr. Amber...even one grow is more than I have lol. I have no clue what the strain is because I got an indoor feminized mix...maybe I'll just call it "Alien Rain" sounds goofy I guess. Here's some pics for you too.

Oh and that light was bright as hell, I practically blinded myself. BTW what are those square mesh areas on the side of my tent? They've got little velcro mylar to go on the outside to block out light, I guess they're for air intake but I'm not sure, I left them open and I was seeing bright pink light coming out the sides...really eerie. Anyhoo...I'll keep ya updated with pics and whatnot.
