In my space I have 2 lights. One 300w 2700k and a dual 200w with 2700k and 6400k. It's one grow.. and a single observation with other factors to take into account. But the plant getting the most 6400 is covered in tricomes while the one under the 300 2700 is quite sparse to be honest. Like I say it might be another factor that's caused it... but it's the observation I've made so far.

I have read the same as Matty.. 2700k or warm red light for flower. But this is what my 2 ladies look like... The snowy one has had more white light... go figure lol.
Same strain for both? Because if not thats not veey fair to compair. Some strains will be covered in trichs no matter what even on stems and leaves and others only buds and not as heavy. Your plants look good though XD

Looking awesome man.

I can't wait til mine get to that point. I'm convinced that the biggest struggle with you first grow is impatience lol

It's time to feed my girl. I'm using Fox Farms btw. I'm at day 35 and this will be my 2nd time feeding her. The first time I overfed her and noticed some signs of nute burn and pH issues so I'm going to lower the dosage by about half and if anything, just increase the frequency as needed.

I keep saying I'm going to post pictures but nothing too exciting has been happening lol

Yeah they are both Buddha Crit Mass. The one with least snow is the oldest. And has had more extreme heat too. So it's not a fair comparrison tbh.
I'm still thinking flowers like some blue light for tricomes atm though. CFL isn't full spectrum in either case is it? 1 band or another? I'm guessing. Noob lol

Expensive that fox farms stuff? I'm using canna and a UK brand PK. I'm trying to avoid anything that seems over priced snake oil.. i want to see magic if I'm gonna pay magic potion prices lol

If you can find 3000-3500k that is about perfect range as all the top leds are those numbers. For veg and flower. Quantom Boards, Timber Cobs and most other cod leds.

I've seen it recommended in quite a few different places and thought it was actually pretty cheap - I only paid around $25 for it and it should last a while.

After a little research, I think I'll definitely be going with the 65w QB led for my next grow.

The reviews and results people seem to be getting are incredible for only a 65w light.

Been looking at Samsung LEDs. Think the quantum board uses them. They are on my shopping list. I'm going to get a HPS 1st as it's more budget friendly. While planning and saving for a DIY Samsung LED set up. Slowly upgrade as I'm keeping it small.
I might try a 3500k. But I think my cfls are gonna be veg only one day anyway. So we'll see. Thanks for the advice :weed::weed:

QB $99 that's not much more than the hps set up I've been looking at... these are Samsung based LED too I think? No?

You won't regret getting this light. The Quantum Boards are at the top of the led market along side cobs and easily hold their own.

They look the sane or you compaired sites and they use the EXACT same parts XD HGL Quantum Boards(i believe they are the first one to make them) are sure to be copied with lesser quality parts.
Since I posted dude I've read a few reviews and people rave about these boards. They also have about HGL but say they're overpriced. These UK boards have some extra parts that evens the spread and prolongs life span apparently too. I'd understand you concern if they where made in China. I think I'm going to make a small diy project using these.

So a bit of an update....

Plant is at week 7 tomorrow. Looking great and buds are forming and starting to look pretty tasty.

I do have a small issue though that could possibly get out of hand. The bottom leaves have been yellowing and dying off. This is to be expected closer to harvest, but I think it may be more than just the usual yellowing that happens during flower.

It’s the bottom leaves mostly and they seem to yellow from the outside in. I’m thinking it’s either a potassium or magnesium deficiency due to the pH. I fed her twice last week and am going straight to water from here on out probably.

I think we should be ready to harvest in a couple weeks so this whole leave issue might not even evolve into a big enough problem before then since this is an auto and has such a short harvest.

Strain is Critical Mass Auto by Big Buddha. The due date (according to timings on the package) is today. Its not ready though. I can't wait lol
How’d your harvest turn out then? Good yield and smoke? I’m assuming you’ve had time to try them by now?

Day 55;

I was a little worried that the buds weren’t getting much thicker for a while, but I think she’s finally starting to thicken up a little.

Also getting a lot more resin now.

Flushed her out really well a few days ago to try and help with the leaves yellowing, and I’m only giving her water now. Starting to go longer between waterings now and let it dry out a lot more. I’ve read that this helps boost resin.

I think I’ll give her about another 2 weeks and chop her down. Thoughts?

Plant one was crap. Should be a hash plant but smoking it to make plant 2 last longer. Which was sticky and sweet. Full of thc filled trikes. I left her till 90% ginger and full clouds on most of the heads. I hope the rest are like plant 2 but bigger. Plant 1 ended up huge loose buds and tricomeless.

Thought I should update this thread.

I harvested around 9 weeks.

Didn't measure the dry weight, but I estimate it was around 1/2 oz. Very frosty, but not very dense. By the time it finished curing for a few weeks, it was a great smoke - just wish I had more of it :bigjoint:

I'm already on to my next grow. I took @MATTYMATT726 's advice and bought the 65w Quantum Board mentioned earlier in this thread and am already around 30 days in with the same NL auto strain, planted in a 2 gal fabric pot from seed in a 16x16 (1.5 sq ft) grow tent. I'm shooting for at least 40-50g from this grow.

Couple things I improved upon from last grow:

1. Started with more space - went from a small cabinet to an actual grow tent that is 16x16 (1.5 sq ft)
2. Planted in 2 gal fabric pot from start - no transplanting the autos this time
3. Only planted 1 plant - last time, I started with 3 and ended up tossing 2 as I just didn't have the room and they were underperforming
4. Half Dosed nutrients - gave full doses last time and think I stressed the plant out a little

The new grow with the QB is going great. My second grow ever. Only issue so far is some slight yellowing of leaves starting about day 30. I realize some of this is normal, but I also held out on giving nutrients as long as I could, so I think it might be a a slight nitrogen deficiency.

I couldn't find any threads of people growing under a single Quantum Board 65w, so I've considered starting a new thread with my results with that.
