So here's my new grow cab. This is my first grow ever, but a long time coming. Here's the specs:

-box is 24" wide*16" deep*48" tall
-6" 65cfm exhaust fan toward the upper left side
-4" passive intake hole on the bottom right
-150 watt 11,000 lumen 6500 K cfl grow lamp with fixture (2500k lamp for flowering)

Additions soon to come:
-DIY carbon scrubber
-big bud x northern lights seeds in the mail from NIRVANA

I hope to be able to supply me and my room mate with some tasty buds but not intending to sell so hopefully 4+ oz. every 4 months.

note: light in picture was raised for shots. normally light is within 3" of plants

I would suggest getting more light when flowering comes along. Other than that your box looks excellent and I'm excited to see the upgrades to it. Keep up the awesome work and good luck.

My god, i love it. I have pretty much the exact same set up. the fan in the upper left, passive holes at the bottom..
Going to pull the fans out of my xbox360 tomorrow for intake :bigjoint: (they want as much to fix it as they do for a new one) they're quiet, and move a pretty nice amount of air.
I'm using it as a veg room at the moment and my closet as a flowering room, I wanna make a small veg box, and turn my cab into the flowering room with CFLs
I was thinking 2 100 watt 2700k CFLs, one across the top(much like you have) and one hanging virticly at the side.. and prolly a couple 23 watts in the bottom corners.

Where did you get the 2500k light/fixure?

yeah man it looks good and more light might be your only addition needed as 2 oz a plant seems to me a little high hopes for a light like that ya know. but that light seems really bad ass so who knows. also do oyu have seperate bulbs for vegging and flowering cause that would be awesome as you want the veg color spectrum adn then put the flowering one in when you flower so it has the best color spectrum it needs throughout its growth.

Thanks for the kind words folks.

The 2500k bulb and fixture was purchased from a local hydro shop here in SoCal. They have a website too: Innovative Growing Solutions Inc.. However, they stock much more in their actual store than they have available online.

Thanks man im stoked to finally be in the game. I have a 125watt 2500k bulb that will be switched out once im ready to flower. Also im working on an adjustable setup to place 4 x 42watt 2700k cfls on the bottom four corners for flowering. That puts me at 293 watts of flowering spectrum light. Hopefully that will turn somewhere near 2oz a per plant.

I also just finished a DIY DWC tub that will support 4 plants and fits quite nicely in the grow cab. I figure four smaller plants may yield a bit more than two big. Ill post pictures soon for that setup.

yo bro just use 4 and keep it to soil till you get the whole growing thing down if this is your first grow ya know. like i mean soil is so much more forgiving man.like with and dro you can mess it up so bad and at any time of the plants stages of growth but soil naturally balances ph and shit like that.just a suggestion man. but good luck and i know you gotta be stoked for sure man. im waiting till i get back home after this dumb shit and then ill be on my way to growing some dank ass shit man. so man jus thave fun adn keep us posted!

you getn fem seeds rite ? , i think you gonna need 2 more plants to have a chance at 4z
Yes. They are feminized seeds. The plants you see in my pics are just bagseed. Im still waiting on the bigbugxnorthernlights fem seeds to show up. Four plants is probably what ill go with. Thanks man. Only issue im having is fitting four pots in the cab since its only 24x16". You think 2 gallon grow bags will keep the roots happy? I can fit four of those in there just barely.

I know im probably jumping the gun on hydro. This whole thing is just taking over my mind haha. Ill try soil on your suggestion this first time. Im sure ill need all the forgiveness i can get from these plants. Thanks man. What is the minimum size pot i can get away with growing these jokers in? If im going to fit 4 in there, they cant be very big.

Ya i didn't think it would. However keep in mind im only working with 30" of useable vertical space. Good idea though. What about 1 container split into four sections? should be fine right?

yea that will work ... id be lookn for a 12+ gallon bin/container
Thanks a lot man. I was hoping someone like you would give me hand. Going to go check around for such a container tomorrow. Maybe cut some slits of plywood to fit to each other in a cross pattern or something of the sort.
