first grow, budget grow box - grow log from zero to 420

I had to raise all 6 light sockets up today. I'm gonna start flowering soon, can someone give me an idea how fast it grows on a daily basis when in flower mode? Right now I keep the lights about an inch away from the plants, which means I need to raise them almost daily. Do the plants need as much light when flowering?

Lookin good. Don't forget to vote on the next strain I should pop. You've been taged. Check with you later.

Plants will need the most light when flowering from everything I've read. I am going to watch this one closely. Exactly when do you plan to flower? Did you use a cloning gel or powder when you cut them?

Hey bro you must be an engineer!!! you are good with details and this guide will help lots of people that want to start growing.. keep it up!!!!

I used schultz cloning powder to clone. That's all walmart had. Lowes had some off brand, but it was exactly the same thing for the same price.

I started the 24 hour period of darkness yestarday, and it will be on 12/12 from now on.

No sign of roots yet on the clones, but they're all still green and perking up.

Yup, that plastic bin is their permanent home. My grow space inside the box is static, so there's no point in spending extra for separate pots.

After 24 hours of darkness I reset the timers for 12/12. I was amazed how much the plants grew with their bonus day of darkness. Not just taller, but fuller all over. Here are some pictures immediately after the lights came on. Notice the plants already an inch or two above the lights. That's 2-3 inches of growth in just a day. I had to move all six lights up again to compensate. I was lucky to catch them right as the lights came on, I don't want any of the leaves getting burnt from touching the bulbs.

Here are the after pictures. I swapped out some of the bulbs for 2700k color. I have my daylight bulbs on my clones now. As I said I decided to start flowering earlier, mostly because the plants already take up a lot of space. My progress bar is slightly modified :-o

As it stands the official tally:
Germination: 3 days
Seedling: 19 days
Vegetative: 19 days

Nothing new to report from the clones, they still look the same.

Thanks man! I've only looked at Walmart and they never have them when I'm there. I have the straight plug-in adapters (from walmart, and yours didn't have any? lol) but am looking to expand my lights without looking to take up too much more space.

what are you using for odor control , i have a grow that is about 3 weeks into veg closed up in a closet about 8' x 8' x 3' and they are already stinking up the house, wondering if i should buy a premade filter and fan or make something at home, my budget is pretty tight

nothing yet, i've seen some clever DIY carbon filters on this site it's not stinking that bad, just smells like plants

Yeah i wont be planting until i have a secure way of solving the same thing....

what cheap and afforadable way can i stop the smell at the grow site?
