first grow box. opinions please! :)

Hey guys,
this is my first grow box. What do you think? I know it's small, but I think it is pretty efficient. later down the line i plan on converting a large cabinet into a flowering room, and using this setup as my clone/veg box.

the setup
black nylon that rolls up and down to retain/block light. velcro will be used to line the sidewalls to make for a nice seal.
as of this min, i am running 2 25w cfl's on a 24/0 schedule, but as soon as money permits, I will be buying 2 more y connectors and then running 4 25wcfls. i will probably buy two long fluros to go up the corners as well.
my pots are elevated so that the water can successfully drain.
there will be an intake fan at the top opening, and an exhaust fan at the bottom opening, but since I'm broke this very second, I have an large oscillating fan on the outside circulating the air, and I have to leave the flap door open.
two pieces of white cardboard to contain the light as much as possible, and can be adjusted easily for plant growth.
timer on the outside.

Those bulbs don't look like 6500k, you need blue spectrum lights for veg.

can i get those at a walmart or something similair? or strictly from a grow shop?

Walmart, Lowes, Home depot, and I think Ace all carry them. They are called "daylight" bulbs.

Read that It explains color temperature, you need 6500k for veg and 3000k for flower.

get good lights tho

thank you for that info. does this mean that the lights are doing nothing? or are just slowing the process down a lot? I am so broke right now it's ridiculous. I really don't want these plants to die because of it.

and thank you for the compliment on the box. I will be buying a hps light system for my flowering box. I should have a job again by that time.

They probably won't die from those lights.....but they won't thrive either. If you could move them outside until some cash came your way they would be better off... If not go beg for $20 so you can go buy the right bulbs....seriously call your friends and find some cash.

cfls will do the job. but i would let them get sun when u can give it to them. if u do decide to do this. keep a tight schedule. im only doing cfl for stealth

where I live sun isn't an option, otherwise that would be my route.

I am getting the proper lights tomorrow.
also, I have noticed that some people will mix a red light spectrum light into their blue spectrum lights, ex. 3 blue 1 red. what are the benefits of this? or should I just do 4 blue.

When you do that your just adding to the spectrum, red will probably make it stretch a bit. It won't hurt.

it looks clean but you should get like a 250w or so hps

like i said earlier, money doesn't permit for that right now, so I'm working with cfls. by the time it's flowering time, I will have money for that and will definitely be using that as my light source with some fluros running along the sides.
