First grow - 4x4 tent with 4x 304 LED boards

Day 50 from seeds


It is now official. Tomorrow Friday will be the last day before the switch to 12/12 once I turn light off Friday night they will stay in the dark for about 20hours and then jump on a 12/12 schedule as of saturday. They are already about 7 inches above the first net..close to 1inch/day for last 7 days..so I will drop the second net shortly which should be at 6inch from the first one

My biggest challenge will be to control humidity. Its in the 60-70 range right now but have been trying to bring it under 60 for the last week without much success.. 60 with lights on and 70 with lights off.. i do have a big dehumidifier but it doesnt seem to control well the humidity with its internal sensor so i cant leave it on autopilot anyway ill find something eventually

Day 51 from seeds, ive put them to sleep for 20 hours of darkness then ill jump on 12/12. Here is the last shots :

One thing that helped me watering when I had my screen up was a long funnel if you water by hand

I dont know.. lol really its just to adjust to the new schedule they were on 7am to 11pm and now I will do 8pm to 8am so I have closed them at 11pm and will only turn on the light at 7 or 8pm tomorrow.. it just happened to be like that

Day 52 first picture after sleeping for 21 hours of darkness



its getting crowded in there I will probably cut some leaves in a week from now. I also measured and have about 17 inch of space left that they can grow so I should be good with the growth of the upcoming days

Day 55 from seeds
Day 3 since switch to 12/12

I feed them after about 1 week of water only they were needing it some early sign of what appear to be mag deficiency.. but since the feeding they are already looking like they catching up.. they seemed stunt for a day or 2 after the switch but have now put that behind my girls are growing very well

I also noticed that my rh% was quite high below the canopy about 80%.. so ive put one fan to blow at ground level.. rhh% under canopy is back at around 60-65% over the canopy is more around 60% .. putting the fan there also had me gain close to 1 sq feet of space in the corner so thats good too

The right side is a bit lower in height so ive shift my light a bit more to the right in the tent to stimulate them more on that side (just couple inches)

Overall the canopy is pretty uniform all over my grow space except in the middle (maybe 1-2 inches lower) which is perfect like that.. ive seen a few U shaped scrog and that make sense since the sides get less light than the middle if the sides are a bit higher they should then get about the same amount of light than the middle

Day 56
Day 4 after switch to 12/12
They seem to have liked the nutrients from yesterday they are really stretching right now.. there is longer space between nodes. Girls are still looking great

They are about 18-22 inch high and 16-20inch wide some a bit more some a bit less..

Update : everything is going well. Ive cut lots of leaves today.. took me 2-3hours for all of them.. main issue is working so low is not good for my back but its done its all that matters.. here is some picture from before and after. I could have probably cut some more but im still too much of a pussy for my first grow hehe. Well see how they bounce back from this but after seeing pictures of BCbud316 they seem to love it. I guess those white widows love to be beaten up

It will be better next grow ill have less plant for the same area so ill be able to do a better job I had to stop lst some time ago because they were getting over each other with 4 or 5 plants max it would have been perfect imo but 7 is a stretch for what I wanted to achieve.. so now they are just stretching up

Yep, I could see your space and your lights working well with 4 plants, the stretch can be epic remember!

I like that you're already thinking of your next grow. Have you thought about strains?

I'm probably going to run 4 plants all set to 12/12 immediately after first topping, going to give them 1 sq ft each to do their business - looking for most couch-lock weed possible from various GG#4, Kush, WW and Afghan seeds I have on the way.

Who needs veg time when you run hydro

Haha not sure im ready to switch to hydro not that it sound too complicated but I dont know.. lol probably eventually I will once I have everything dialed in.. yes next grow im really aiming to put up a second tent.. maybe a 4x8 and keep the 4x4 just for vegging to shorten my cycles not sure yet.. i should be running two strains. I still have 4 seeds left of WW so most likely will be using those and ill be looking for another strain not sure yet..

My main thinking is around the light.. not sure if Ill set up 4 more boards.. i really would like to get to 6 or 8 for each 4x4 pushing up the efficiencies, spread and power but dont want to spend too much so we will see, I still got some time to think about it.. we'll see how I do with my current grow too

They look yellowish on the pic but its only the camera they are green.. I gave them water only yesterday to end 1 week 1 after flip i will resume nutrients tomorrow.. i water every 2 days 2.5gallons or so.. but ive lowered humidity and temps a bit and they drink more..

It is starting to smell in the room.. i got a new carbon filter this week so ill install it later tonight when lights turn on.. first one clogged within first 2 weeks as he humidifier was running 24/7 in the tent at first to maintain RH% now humidifier hasnt been turned on for the last few weeks.. so the new filter should be fine..
