First CFL grow purple jems in PC case

I guess I have never seen how many views. I am just excited about it thats all LOL. I hope it gets purple cause I don't expect much in yield that for sure. When I ordered the seeds I got some free seeds and 1 is auto Haze. Right about harvest time for this one I will germinate the haze. I also have another purple jems like 10 days old. It is doing well much better from start than the 30 day 1 in the pic.

Yeah I am hopefull aswell it would be nice to have a supply of seeds if they are good plants

hey there, i doubt you will have enough room to finish. why not build a box like mine and transfer your fans and lights in it when your plant gets taller. $90 bucks at wallmart should get you a decent cabinet and buy a roll of mylar insulation from home depot or some where.

I'm in the same boat I think. I have a ton of pollen and a friend has 4 plants going on week 2.5, and not showing sex yet. They are the last hope of getting Purple Jem seeds made.

If my younger plant is a male should I just leave it in with the female and hope it happens. Never dealt with that before. I mean when do you do the pollenating? I have a screen I was gonna use to keep it shorter if needed. I still have about 6-7" in the case since I have them sitting on the hydro container to get them closer to the light here are pics from today. Forgot the one on the left is 11 days old

Yeah you can do that. Just remember that you have a window you have to work within. Most auto strains are 65 to 75 day life cycles(9.5 to 10.5 weeks). They show sex at 4 weeks and it takes 5 to 6 weeks for a seed to mature. So I go with the 1 week rule. You have 1 week to pollinate the lady if your going to do it. After that you wont have the time for it to grow a good seed(some strains my vary I am using numbers from my Blue Streak Strain as that is the only one I have running self sustained). Hopefully I will have the Purple Jems going that good soon.

What I do is watch the male real close and you will get really good at knowing when the ball is going to pop. Then you just cut it before it does. I let them dry a little on a screen. Then I pop them inside a small jar myself with a pear of tweezers. Then I use a small artist paint brush to give it to the lady's.

I also go fishing for the male when I pick up a strain. Save the pollen from the first male I get, and then replace when I get a better looking male. I'm fishing now for a minithunderfuck male. I just put 2 in paper towel to germ looking for the male to start that strain next. When I ordered them they came with freebees so I got 14 in the pack. I will do 2 at a time till I get that male to work with. Then I
just need 1 lady and we are off to the races if you know what I mean.

thanks for the info that helps alot. So it would probably be best if I tried to harvest some pollen if I have a male then what for the next female to pollinate? The female is 34 days old but I have no pollen Would this bee the time I would pollinate? She has tons of little hairy buds on her.

Yeah you want to get her in the first 2 or 3 weeks as best you can. I'm still not positive of exactly how long it takes the seed to mature. But I know I get green underdeveloped seeds if I paint to late.

Ok thanks,, so I still would have time if I had some pollen. I wish I had my auto haze growing some pollen from that would be cool to cross with purple jems.

Thanks I think it is gonna be like a bud on a stick LOL it is still funny how it is only around 4" tall and just seems to get fatter and hairy. It was pretty root bound when I repotted though. I think it will get bigger now just don't want it to get too big cause then I will have to set it up somewere other than the computer case. I am a legal patient in MI so I can grow anywere in a locked room or closet or cabinet in my house I just thought the PC case thing would be fun till the grow room is done then we can see what a purple jem will do under 1000w HPS

Got more pics today from the 15 day old and the girl. I am gonna repot the younger one soon. I spray the young one with Super Foliage spray several times a day. The older one got 1/2 teaspoon earthjuice nutestoday. Do you think I should be using more I didn't wanna burn her. It seems the super foliage spray works really well got tons of growth in a few days.

No they don't get that big. If you look at my Blue Streak thread again. I posted some piks of my breeding setup. and you can see. They are just little short fat lady's. But the short fat lady's need loven to. I think the PJ's will get just a little bigger than the BS's are. I am guessing at about 1/4 to 1/2 OZ per plant. We ran 12 plants on a outdoor grow and got 7 lady's. About 4 or 5 weeks to go on them. But we are figuring about 2 OZ out of that. So if we do that every 20 days. That's 2 OZ (give or take a little) every 20 days. That's growing more than I'm smoking. Plus the ones I grow for seed. I grind up after I pop the seeds out, and use that to keep my dugout full. I like the short size because I can grow as many as I want out on my balcony and nobody can see them.

Thanks guys pretty excited about it so far. I am not sure but I have a feeling the younger one is male. 16 days is probably too early but something tells me it is. If so I have to collect pollen for a lady
