First CFL Grow Journal, Blue Berry Hogs Breath, Chem OG, Bubba OG, and Larry!

:fire:Welcome!:fire:
to Caliweed760's Grow Journal of various diffrent strains.
This is a closet grow, under CFL lighting and all for experiemental/learning purposes. (except for the end :weed:)
Theses plants were given to me at about 4 weeks old and i've been taking care of them since. They were infected with spider-mites and i tried treating them with this stuff called "Bayers mite and bug control" and ive sprayed them 3 times over the course of about 2 weeks and they still resumed to keep eating mah damn plants!
So i finally switched to Mighty Wash and it totally wiped them all out and did the damn job. Really impressed with that stuff.
Nutrients ~ Dyno Gro 9 - 3 - 6 Vegging, 3 - 12 - 6 Flowering stage.

* ~ The Plants ~ *

Chem Dog, Blue berry hogsbreath, bubba OG and Larry I'll post some updates that have been happining. I have started this journal on behalf of some requests from when i was having problems with the plants and was needing good advice and also for my own curiousity to see my girl bloom. This is infact my first grow also so everything is behalf on my learning and experiementing.
12-20-12

They are looking okay to me and looking for a nice growth for the most part, there getting new leaves and getting a bit bushier by the day. As of this time of picture they were still infested with spider mites and lacked nutrients a little.

Plants are going well and looking to start my flowering process early January. As you can see the stuff thats circled and things like that are from the "Bayer Advanced Natria Insect, Disease and Mite Control" that can be bought at home depot , thinking it was ideally and going to work to kill the spider mites off my babies it actually created a silver crust on them and didnt help at all really, clear warning for all folks thinking of using that product for there plants i highly reccomend not to.

12-26-12 (Mighty Wash Treatment was 12-25-12)
A bit of stretching with one plant that was my bad from the beginning of having the lights to far away from it, but definatly nothing extreme. Plants are looking very healthy from the nutrients that I've been feeding them and the spider mites are clear away.

are you using foil? that's a bad idea man.
i would go with car reflectors or panda flim.
so far pretty nice. very stretchy plants tho
keep it up.

be super careful about those mites. once they lay eggs there is no way in getting rid of them
unless you are doing a co2 tank clear out.

Yes, thats coming up. I'm going to fix the sides. And Mighty Spray kills eggs, everything. Its a good product and its been proven.
thank you

Has only been a week or two but this is the update, alot of growing and a bit of stretching with each plant but its definatly coming along! I have started kicking in the BLOOM nutrients and am on day 4 of flowering stage so its early!
p update 1.jpgplantz.jpg

All the spider mites clear to be gone! and its looking golden from here. There is small flies around my plants although, so i might do one more spray i dont know yet. But here is my smaller plant, that some of you know of and almost died but its looking good. hehe its chemdog! small plant.jpg

Also, i picked up couple outdoor plants that have been in my side yard for about 2 weeks now and suprisingly there living and are in flowering stage. Although there is a house closeby lmao and i should move them soon, but they neeed that sunN! :cuss:

Here's the update. After spraying once of the mighty-wash there are not any webs or spider-mites in site but still small black dots under the leaves, so i will continue to spray.

Bubba OG
Coming along quiet nicely, more firm hairs coming out and showing good colors and quiet healthy.
the 2nd farthest in flowering,
Bubba OG.jpgbubbaog2.jpg

Blueberry Hog's Breath
Covering in hairs and looking like the thc will be looking nice and hope for some good buds in the near future!
Defiantly coming along the best out of all.

As some of you might know i have 2 other plants, one is Larry OG, which stretched alot unfortunately and is coming long okay, its got the worst case of the spider-mites but its not to bad anymore since I've been treating. The other one, is quiet small still but in the flowering stage and might come out success but possibly not, i need more CFL lights so it is my bad gesture. But take a look here at the larry.

Keep in mind, i switched the lights to 12/12 right after Christmas, so there only about 20 or so days into flowering.
But more updates to come! WOULD LOVE FEEDBACK!
Stay high my friends:bigjoint:

Check to see whether the black dots under the leaves are moving or if they are dead. Don't forget to spray the underside of the leaves with your spider mite treatment because that's where they like hiding out.

By the way, because you have such weak lights I would recommend some "low stress training" (LST) so that you can maximize the number of leaves and nodes close to your light. There are plenty of guides on this site teaching you how to do so, but basically it involves bending the plant and tying it down. Twisty ties work great. Good luck!

Thanks bro i appreciate it , Yeah I've heard little on LST but i am really interested in trying it maybe, ill have to see how things go.
As far as the small black dots, no they have no movement but i will continue to spray, firstly under the leaves as followed.

January 25th, Day 28 Flowering
Indoor Plants: Looking alright, I'm sher they could be growing faster but they are looking Okay id say.
On a worse note, they still have a good infest of spider mites and I am using mighty spray as directed and the fuckers are still there.
I got maybe 2 more washes left, hopefully this will work.
On to the ladies,

Bubba OG

Coming along quiet nicely, i must say the pistils look alot firmer and filled with good thc amount to the looks of it and from a couple microscope views. I think that if i control the mites till the end than i'll defiantly be happy for letting thing one have a good harvest.

Blue Berry Hogs Breath
Looking good, the hair amount is very overwhelming in a good way. There is going to be some good buds and the mites are getting at this one aswell. Question?Does this look like its going at an okay rate for the day its currently flowering?

Here's a picture of all the plants currently and also a X2 microscopic view at the mites living. Unfortunalty while taking the picture yes it was moving quiet well. :wall:

:joint:!UPDATE! DAY 38 of flowering! :joint:

Quick updated summary of the plants; Plants are coming along very well, I'm having a problem with the flies and them flying around in my room all the time and being quiet annoying but its alright for the most part. I have tried spraying there soil with mighty wash and getting sticky stick's for flies but nothing has worked so i guess I'm going to fight it out till the end with the mites and stupid flies!

:blsmoke:Blue Berry Hog's Breath !~
Coming along so sweet and nice, the buds are so hairy and filled with THC the outcome is looking to be golden. Mites pretty controlled and the plant is very healthy.
bbhgb1.jpgbbhgb2.jpg

Bubba Og bongsmilie
Very potent looking and has thick pestils that come out that are filled with THC and gives a great aroma. This plant is 2nd tallest and is very healthy
