Thanks gas. What should I do about the cfl situation? I have til may or so.before I can put the outside. I wamt them big but not too big where I dont have enough light, lst, supercrop?

I'd lst. I feel like you can lst and offer barely any light and the plant doesn't necessarily stretch - just grows super slow. But who cares if it grows super slow under a few CFLs when it's still going out fairly early in the season (fingers crossed).

So I put a little soil on the top because roots were starting to grow on one of the plants. I noticed roots coming out of the bottom of both plants. Not many but they were thick. Just leave them alone for now? Thoughts?

Ideally you would repot every time you see roots hit the bottom but you can probably give it another week. Sooner the better though as plant size is often regulated by how much resources are available and space and soil are some of the key resources.

Sweet that would be awesome. I know that there is uneven light and heat distribution in aluminum foil. so if I see any problems with it, which I doubt, I'll remove it. Transplanted them into 5 g pots. Glad I did cause there were some roots at the bottom growing in a little cluster

Aluminum foil is great. Won't damage your plants or burn them or any of that bullshit. There's a thread somewhere floating around about the big aluminum foil myth even. It's just prettier to use mylar and I have more than I need. :)

I guess I gotta spread rep before giving it to you again gas. today was a good day, learned a lot from the infamous gas. Put the mylar up. Looks good. Bought a 4 pack of 23 5000k lights. Hooked them up. 1 blew out as soon as I turned it on. Lol. Now I have 7 lights. 4 2700's and 3 5000's. Looking good, although I.noticed one of the plants fingers are somewhat curling downward. Transplant shock? Gonna give it a few.days.before I worry

Looks good. That lamp flipped upside down cracks me up. Amen to MacGyvering shit.

I had fun today. It's nice meeting nice down to earth people that can think. We'll definitely have to do it again. Perhaps I can teach you about amending soil by having you help me fix the yard up ;)

Oh, and how large are those pots?

Lol, yeah I thought that was funny as well. Held be the light cord and a shoe lace. I feel the same about people. Thanks man. I.learned a lot. Oh my mom loved your stuff. Made her light headed after two puffs. And most definitely about the yard thing. Just let me know. Knowledge is priceless and I sure learned a hell of a lot today. Thank you, very much appreciated. And 5 gallon pots. Didnt have 3, should be good right?
