hi all I have 1 question. has anyone noticed if you can tell females and males apart when vegging?. from my very first grow, ive KINDA and i stress KINDA!noticed that males tend to strech and grow faster then females, males tend to strech with longer nodes and females stay short and squat, growing slower. and taken this is from the same seeds. i mean im not an expert, but dont males grow faster than females in order to put out the pollen faster?

honestly, ive wondered this same thing. but i thought it was reversed. all the pics ive seen of males are short and stubby and the females tall and sparse in leaves, at least towards the top. im in your boat bro, im in the 3rd day of 12/12 and im waiting anxiously for determining the sex of my plant, esp. since i just have ONE.

in my exp... most not all males tend to shoot up a little higher than the females with the internodes streatching a little more than the females... how else are they going to spread their goo all over that girls face... this isnot a deffinate and you should always wait till the flowering cycle .. but if i have a lot of streatchy plants in veg i tend to start some more seeds.... also the stretch tends to happen over a couple of days and in unison with other male..i have had a good success rate picking out males in this way but i never kill off a plant untill it whips its balls out in flowering.
