Female seeds c99

Flowering begins at the flip. Not when first pistils appear. So yes 52 from flip. It was a transparent bottle so time and light cause some degradation of thc and thcv.

  • i was always under the impression that you count from first pistil. i am very confused now. i have always done this and my plants have always came out perfect. i chopped my c99 on day 52 from first pistil and it came out perfect. if i were to count from when i first flipped i feel like it would have been really immature. can you point me to a thread or article or something to support your views? i just want to get this straight

The problem with this method is that some plants show preflower pistils in veg, so it's confusing to some growers. I don't quite understand why people are counting the days anyhow. The finishing time is an estimation given by the breeder for two reasons. The first is to alert the grower to start checking for ripeness around that time and the second is to sell the seeds. People want early finishers. Patience is a hard thing to come by.

With that strain C99, though I would go with what the rest of the forum recommends. A lot of people have grown that so there's a pretty good consensus. When you get into the less known stuff then you have to experiment a bit.

Wondering if you guys could help me as I haven't gotten a scope yet. This is my Female Seeds C99 12/12 from seed at about 51 days from first pistils and 79 days from seed. Plant is around 14 inches tall and is my first grow.
How much longer do you guys think she has? I still think she has a bit more time consider all the white hairs still, but I could be wrong? I also have another C99 that is probably 45 days in flower in a smaller pot, definitely not as big as this one though.

Hey Kite, how's CO? Send us some rain AND a cold front !!!!!!!!!

Outdoor c99 has some ruderalis genetics in the mix.
Are you kidding me? Who bred that in? Glad I have the original C99 stuff and back crossed! ;)

Still have some of the original BG genetics, must be 15 years old by now...neener neener neener. :) Was called "Bros Grimm In/Out" mix. Ron of the infamous Heaven's Stairway sold me 20 at a buck a piece. It's a mix of the genetics that the Bros were working on, cubing and such like Princess, C99, etc. Original ad said they lost count of what was what on a sorting table.

Kite has the timing down about right on indoor growing considering typical temps which play a big role in the life cycle of a plant. Regarding harvesting, I use the same criteria no matter what the genetics. Read the plant - not some chart, a post, calendar or seedbank hawk.

Could you guys explain to me how you go about judging when they are ready without harvesting too late? I've read a lot that its once trics are 50 percent amber kite says that was too late for sativa. Thanks in advance

To me it's an art more than a science that comes with experience. Read the plant, it will tell you when it's finished. I don't read trike's any more. When the plant has slowed down to a crawl, the calyxes are fat and plump, and there's about a 80/20 ratio of brown/fresh pistils, is when I harvest. If you see nanners, the plant is telling you it's over....is desperate to make seeds.

You can also use a "loose" rule of thumb. Take the entire estimated flowering response and of that the first 60% of that time period is gonna be the stretch, the remaining is gonna be bulking up of the colas/buds. I have heard from some growers that they never saw a stretch with certain genetics. I find that hard to believe but I've seen photos at old, now defunct forums that confirmed it.

Another reason to buy Mel's book. Potency graph:

wow great reading on this breed of sativa /indica mix.. i have the c99 from female seeds ordered thru attitude and i had a spider mite issue,so i sprayed with a eco- friendly /natural killer suggested from the bug thread ..fuck that shit..it burnt the plant to almost nothing. the good thing is the plant has revived to be a flourishing bush. so it kinda did a super crop on it. now she is about 18'' tall and about 2 feet round lol..
my questions are as follows.. 1 how is this lil girl on cloning?? 2 it says its mature at 2 months in veg from seed.should i flip her after that time or can she go longer for more cola's ??? 3.. does anyone have any vegg shots of this breed because i think i mixed them up with my bubblicious and can't tell witch is witch..the c99 is taking off like crazy.. the bubblicious is kinda staying close ,tight and lil branching. both under 400 hps separated..on is in dirt one is in a bubble bucket ..any vegg pics of either would be great also cloning advice on the c99. want to make her a staple if she flowers as fast as my indica's.. thanks gang and as always KEEP ON GROWIN.

Newbie grower here, is it normal that the leaves are so yellow? Nute deficiency or is the plant near the end of its life cycle and dying off?

C99 has very sativa like leaves, and is a robust grower..She is also an EXCELLENT cloner, in fact one of the easiest cloning plants I've ever had, which is one good reason to keep her...If you have spider mites C99 will attract them more than more resistant plants so keep that in mind too. Very stable strain, and hard to have go hermie on you...55 days from the flip is gold standard. I would flip her asap as she can get really big during the stretch..good yielding strain too
