Fem vs Reg

No real american breeders thats target audience is in the states will ever produce fems,on occasions they sell the rights to breeders in europe to self their varietys and sell them like that,but I doubt subcool needs to do that,the target audience he is after are all real growers who want real females,not hermie prone seeds that can destroy whole crops of medicine,though I am not Subcool so cant say that is a fact,I am still 99% certain.

A great example is emerald triangle their fems are only available on this side of the pond as there is a "market for it" due to the dutch bullying people into buying what they are told is a better product when it isnt,as I say a male can destroy a crop yeah,but you catch them early,a hermie can pop up with out you even noticing and destroy your crop,I think people need to be less lazy and get on the regs,and find a keeper,rather than settle for feminized as you are told by a seed companie(not so much a breeder like subcool) but a business about making money from seeds and nothing more,seriously guys wake up,99% of "breeders" are industry competitors, with no care but how to get all your hard earned cash,and feminized can be more expensive/produce no males,and are harder to clone,all great from a sellers point of view,not so great from a buyers ;)

when I bought seeds... I bought nothing but fem seeds ......had a few hermies....but have cloned some killer strains

I was given seeds to test that people made...reg seeds some of them hermied too

I agree the whole feminised seed thing is a waste of money. I think most growers that have decent operations would tell u that ur better off cloning or taking a one of ur best plants, perhaps a clone from ur mother plant and have some fun trying to make a hybrid with another strain then u have seeds comin out ur azz without having to worry if u will only get male plants from a 10 pack of seeds from ur local pharmacy

D-The whole Autos/Fem auto thing is great,if you are a seed company,what better way than to get mugs coming back to them every 8-9 weeks with $50-100 for them,also when you can grow a sativa heavy hybrid from 12/12from seed,doing it in 11-13 weeks,you spend less on electric than on a 8-9 week auto on a 20/4 18/6 light scheduled,So the only reason for breeders to do them,is thats right to get you coming back again n again,as there is no taking cuttings and no breeding unless you are lucky n find a good male,.

Just my 2 cents ;).


Also to the last question, feminized seeds only exist as breeders noticed certain varietys if flowered too long made bananas or male flowers,alot of plants do it to continue the species,and cannabis is a weed after all,also plants do communicate if you remove all the males from a crop some females will compensate in order to continue the species ;)

If fem beans are so bad and "designed to herm when under stress" then why do I have a garden full of them that have been topped more than once and supercropped with no herms? Why do I have a strain thats a cross of fem larry herm x lost coast og fem and not a single herm on the cross? You spout a lot if theories an percentages that you are coming up with off the top of your head. You like subcool so much? Well, Jilly Bean and Cheesequake both hermed for me, and so did his old Sputnik 2 but with sterile pollen. All were reg seeds, which throws your theory out the window. Trade secrets, lmao.
 
No reputable breeder with genuine knowledge of breeding and any sort of skill will produce Hermie prone feminised seeds...Fems does NOT equal Hermies. Bad feminising techniques can produce Hermie prone seeds, but feminised seeds (done properly) are no more Hermie prone than the strain they were produced from.

Dont believe the hype, it's not like feminised seeds are "infected" or something.
 
i think its best to find a good female (pick of the litter) from regular or feminised seeds, then clone the genetics. if you grow the same strain over a couple of years you know the plants genetics and your not caught up in the forever movin forward craze of all of it :) just my 2 cents..............................;)

B=no males.........You are forgetting about both the "Soma" method and the "Colloidal Silver" method of producing pollen without males. .......... :peace:
 
And my own opinion.......Feminized if the strain I want comes in a feminized seed option and Regular seeds if the strain I want doesn't. Pick your breeders and strains with care and you'll be fine. It's a plant. Plants are part of nature. Nature is, by nature, full of curveballs and mysteries. If you get a herm, that blows. Try, try again. :peace:
 
Oh and by the way to dankerous we all saw Jurassic Park too the whole "whatever" theory in an environment of all one sex sometimes sex changes can occur in order to continue the species.
