hi all, will adding a fan speed controller reduce the amount of electric (watts) my fan uses per hour?

so my 8 inch fan uses 150 watts anhour if i reduce the speed by half will it only use 75.

thanks for any help

Dont get the speedster. the extra 30 bucks youl spend on a controller is well worth not having your fans turn whne you need them. those speedsters are hong kong garbo.

maybe we are talking about something different, Im talking about a fan speed controller hydro farm sells.....same thing as the speedster, just doesn't say speedster.......and mine doesn't have a display....just a knob.

just doesn't say "speedster" on it

I was talking about exactly the same one you have. Thier called Active air fan speed controllers and I havent tried the actual speedsters but I know their the same thing. But it happened and I was bummed because I thought they were gonna be effective economical way to save money on ventilation costs. I also dont want the new CAP ones because I can see their exactly the same as well. Their hong kong poor wiring and seem to have issues with Valuline fans

Wow. ive never seen one of those before. Thats nice and its claiming above vortex brand output. Im glad theres people like you willing to invest in trials like that. Ill just stay tuned for the product review

ok no probs, i will be getting that fan in the next couple of weeks when i change my room around so i will let yous know what its like

wow I want one of those. I have the exact same fan, but the 4" TT. ...but it doesnt have all the goodies on it. ... I can say the fans are great though.
