fan sound problem because of roommates

ok so im using computer fans at the moment because there quiet...they just dont seem to be moving enuf air thoe...if i use a bigger computer fan its too loud...got really thin walls here and roommate complained about noises that where like buzzing sounds...wtf can i do? buy 2 million small computer fans n hook them all up? any other ideas?
 
Bigger fans should be less noticable than small ones. I've found that most 120mm fans unless controlled are either naff or loud, i think you might be forced to go upto say the 250mm computer fans (they can shift something like 150cfm at great levels). I have the same kind of problem, only it's me that cant sleep.
 
how hot is your space? where is your space? any pics? is your room mate not aproving of this.

their are ways to deaden sound/vibration. your not the first person to have this problem. So, while i dont really know how you can do it that would work best for you, dont give up, ive seen the info and it all seemed pretty easy to me so im sure you shouldnt have any problems taking care of it, im just too high and tired to figure out what would work best for you right now.
 
is that fasten to thew wall or free standing. it doesnt need that much air. if it is free standing put carpet under the legs. maybe stuff a blanket behind it, egg padding. archery shop. sell bow vibertion silencers they work good for computer fans you just stick them on the middle of the fan. there little rubber thing that look like mushrooms
 
Get a can fan and put it inside a wooden box full of fiberglass insulation with vents out each end, attach to ceiling with bungeee cords. Very quiet.
 
a bigger fan also probably wouldn't have to run on high, the proper fan and a speed controller may work. insulating is also a good idea as nodrama says.nodrama also has a idiocracy quote as a signature ! :p

He's growing in a cupboard bright bulb, not a full fledged grow room. You seem to reply to a lot of threads without reading.... hmmm....

You were the same one that told me it was ok to have and own firearms in and near your grows because they couldn't do shit about legal weapons...

You never heard of possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony.... I wouldn't heed anything you had to say bright bulb.
 
Wow definte wrong call on the firearms and grow but that cupboard surely looks big enough for a 4 inch can fan although thats not what I'd use. a 4 inch inline fan on the exhaust would be fine I'd think , and like I stated earlier, you can add a speed controller and dampen sound several ways.

I didn't say to put the fan in the cupboard now did I? You can put it anywhere and just add a vent, hence the "Vents out each end".

Thats not what I said at all,what I said was that you were incorrect for stating that you get an automatic 10 years in FEDERAL PRISON. I said nothing of the sort that it was OK to do it in a legal sense. Then I went and proved you very wrong about what you said so now you are just sore about it. I said it was a felony and it carried a mandatory 10 years in prison in most states. That is why I gave up my right to own a firearm so i could grow and not tack on additional charges. It is called possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.... Ever hear of mandatory sentencing guidelines bright bulb?

for someone who has never produced a crop and only started a shitty grow on July 23rd I would say you aren't qualified to give anyone advice. AND you already burned your plants before they got 6 inches tall, AND you think its because of the LED's.

I'd say you were clueless... At least I'm willing to learn. You are hard headed and refuse to accept anyone's thoughts that contradict your own. I even gave you links regarding gun laws and you still spouted off i was wrong. A couple of words come to mind regarding that, and bright isn't one of them.
