Fafard Soil?

Anyone ever hear, or use Fafard soil? A local store that sells professional grow stuff (not cannabis) says it is the best grow medium. I bought the 4M mix. It is from a company called SunGro.

They guy selling it said it was the best medium? Of course it must be true then

Seriously though, I have not heard of it, what is in it? They have a bunch of different mixed listed on their site.

I never heard of it.
Maybe it's the best soil.....
... to put some money into the store salesmans pocket.
Is it the most expensive?

i use fafard growing mix #2 and i love it.

it's a soiless mix but i use it like soil.

Hi Turbo,
I've used it also. Very high quality but like Smoke and Coke said...they mostly market peat based soilless mixes and not soil. I believe it's a Canadian company so you usually see it up north. I bought and used it while living in Iowa.

Fafard IS sunshine mix. Growing Mix #2 is the one you want it gets pretty dusty so use protection, a window + fan. I was gifted some I really like it's water holding and texture which drys out pretty evenly and won't strangle your roots like some peats. It's worth a shot good luck
