Yea i was hoping for the motherload haha. Ive seen pics of 5 and 6 tops. Twos better than one and i needed to slow that down a tad anyway. Just today that has opened up much more than the pics on here show. I can almost watch this grow. Scares me though. Articles ive read say males are the fast growers. Time will tell. Thanks for replying!
That is true about the malesmales growing slightly faster due to the fact that they need to grow fast to grow tall so that their pollen can travel further in the wind, but what I've seen is that if you give your plant a good environment and keep them healthy, they'll grow fast anyway, whether female or male, so don't stress, fast growth can be good, as long as it isn't stretching.

Peace out.

Hello community i started this from seed 4 or so weeks ago and tried to "fim" it. It certainly worked for the bottom branches they went ape but can you tell whats going on with the top? First timer using seeds i was given. If my pics are good enough can someone tell me if this is indica or sativa? Does it look like its growing well.View attachment 4061337 View attachment 4061337 View attachment 4061339
It looks like you may have fimmed too early, but saying that you possibly thought about doing it because of the age of the plant..so understandable.
I recommend fimming after the fifth set of sun leafs, this is normally around 2-3 weeks ( mid veg )
It does look a little small, but healthy.

This is true males do tend to grow vigorously but don't be discouraged I've seen plenty of fast strong growing females too. Once that grows up two nodes you can top them both again, helping keep it shorter. I don't know how much room you have but if its very limited space you may want to flip it over into flower after another week. You'll have a couple nice colas.

My space right now is bordering on a micro grow haha. I need to flower this one soon or it will outgrow the box. Is it so that the fim site needs to grow full fan leaves back before the switch? This is my trial run. Getting the feel of things. I have a better sprout coming behind it. The one in the pic... Well it stretched. Bad. I buried that long stem and its doing great. The second one is doing very well. I learned about the stretch from Rasta Jeff of Irie Genetics and he got me on track there. Its very squat.

hi guys!
I'm new to this I'm growing 4 sensi skunk fems in coco 15L pots straight away.
Do they look healthy? They're at 10 days since they broke through the coco.
This one has a weird leaf that looks like 2 leafs joined together it's completely different from the others?
Hey man, this is called hijacking a thread, rather open a new one of your own, then you won't get hated on.

Your plant does look badass though, not sure why it did that, hopefully some one will help you out. But start a thread.

OP, Welcome to RIU. It looks like you were FIM'ing a little too much maybe. {Fuck, I should have Missed} As others said, more light will get it out of it's funk faster. You do need good air flow.

As far as experienced eyes, most of us old timers who respond to these kinds of threads are stoned and bored. So the advice you get should be valued accordingly.

Good luck.

What I meant was to let it rest and recover from the stress, it should usually be fine after a couple to a few days. But if you have micro grow space then go ahead and flip it. If you have the ability to get some super thrive or some B12 /vitamins for plants then go for it and give it a dose that'll help with recovery and transition. I will tell you though that that stuff super thrive etc is really meant to give before the planned stress such as Fimming/ topping or transplant.

20171222_172243.jpg 20171222_172243.jpg Here it is today.. Making a hell of a recovery. This poor plant has been through a lot. It smells very nice already. Ill look for some vitamins as suggested and will 12/12 my timer in the morning. Thanks much. 20171222_172149.jpg

I personally prefer topping with scissors over "Fuck I Missed"-ing. If FIMING isn't executed properly it always leads to problems. Your plant should be just fine IMO. Remember that after you top/fim they tend to practically stop growing for a week or so.

The Top plant will be fine ,if left alone now just let it gain a bit of growth before any more messing around. What Ec are you on it looks a little light ,i would also say bit both indica/sativa from the leafs. The reason it Looks a little light ,is its new growth ,it will darken. If its on the right nutes.

Looking at this plant i would also pull the large fan leaves of,This is the only time when i would take of good growth ,by doing this it will make the central growth kick out more.Don't Top it for a while,Take those large fans off ,and in a couple of week ,you will have a nice Bush,I have done it a few times ,when i have had plants that look like this.

The comment i wrote about them been light in color ,was put before i seen bottom pictures, they look fine ,Crack of the large fan leaves,i have a feeling the plant will do just fine.

The 2nd one both seedlings ,look fine,Just leave them to get older and flower ,once they start to show there sex ,then start thinking about feminizing them ,If there all ready from feminized seed stock ,then i would not even try and get seeds,You really need reg seeds to feminize them. Some others may know different but ,i have never feminized a plant that has all been feminized,to me that is asking for trouble ,Better of buying reg ,Auto's and then fem them.

There are a few Seed Companies that do Reg,Autos .These are what you want for getting your own beans ,Grow a pack out ,And pick out females you are going to fem,Just Silver the females once there into flowering by a few week,But continue hitting them a few times ,this should give you plenty of beans, for future use.
