Experienced eyes please.

Huh... Hadnt noticed that. Clearly im on the wrong forum. Looking for grow help not sarcasm. I misjudged this forum. My error.
Oh see there was a misunderstanding, I thought you asked for experienced eyes - not growers. Was just telling what my experienced eyes saw.

Jokes aside - You fim'd your plant which means the new growth you cut is still able to grow but it will be stunted as it tries to heal while the other tops get most of the plants energy to grow upwards. The reason it's taking so long is because you have very low levels of light. It looks like you're using maybe 50w total in there, ideally you want around 100-150 minimum. Grab yourself 4 40w cfls for $20.

Also google space buckets for some good knowledge on small scale growing with clfs/leds. Or just go here http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-space-buckets

Use the base information from there to apply to your setup.

Probably most of you guys already know this, but I was surprised to see this sprout come up, even after the jiffy cube went nuts and grew hair.

I thought for sure the seed would have molded and I almost threw the cube out last night. But by morning, it came up.

The soil looks pretty wet. Let it dry out some. You don't want it wet you want it damp.
Also what kind of soil is that? I see a little green ball that looks like timed release fertilizer. It could just be something that got in but if you're growing in a soil with timed release fertilizer like Miracle Grow you will need to take that into account or you could have issues later on with nutrient issues. Just a heads up.
That's a pretty inventive grow box. One thing however, you would be better off taping white paper or spray painting the inside white instead of using aluminum foil. Flat white is what you want.
You're going to need more light.
No way to tell if it's indica or sativa. It's more than likely a hybrid but you can't tell just by looking at it at this stage.
Good luck and happy growing.

Seriously man, get your own thread! You are cluttering up this thread and confusing people as to who the OP is and what their problem is.

To the OP, you've got nothing to worry about. That look is the result of the FIM'ing/topping. The lower branches will continue to catch up. They will speed up their growth pace and out pace that main top. Just be patient :-)

Good save.
That mold is likely from keeping the jiffy cube too wet in too humid of an environment. Wipe it off with a solution of h202 and stick it in moist not wet soil under a light. Don't water for awhile and do not put it in a dome.

I didn't even catch I was replying to two different posters. I've been sampling too much product.

It is wet. I just watered before the pic. I let it dry a lot before watering again. The green pellet is in fact nute pellets. I used some stuff i had laying around the shop. Miracle Grow lite potting mix and a cotton burr compost with some landscapers mix for root health. Good eye X.

Careful with those pellets. They're good stuff, but they give out nutrients over a long period of time. It's really easy to throw more in before the old are gone and overdo it.

Thank you n0thing. Its not much light you are correct. I will change my setup eventually. I just want to get this straight before i go haywire buying stuff. That tote is actually pretty big and my homemade light fixture can raise another foot. I bought nothing here. All junk i had in my shop. My brother laughed at my setup but the darn thing works. Thank you for your time.

They came in the soil. I cut the soil to half with landscapers mix and cotton burr compost. I have no way of testing soil currently so i was hoping the nutes in all the stuff will carry through the grow. I have zero experience growing anything in pots. I do garden every year and pull a ton of produce. So this soil will be barren of nutes by the time of flower?

This space bucket looks right up my alley but i do have thick black 55 gallon drums. That could work right? I can set up the same way but more lights?

Sorry about that. Just thought, if expert eyes were looking at plants here, my question might fit in. Next time I'll start a new thread.

About the various (conflicting?) growing advice on the net. Keep in mind, most people growing want to make a profit. And it's probably illegal to grow where they do.

And so sometimes, their advice isn't actually good for someone only growing as a hobby, in a state where it's legal.

There was one guy arguing with another that auto flowers are pitiful and he should give that up, and get some seeds that can yield a full pound. It was inappropriate advice.

For example, advice for growing orchids on a commercial scale is not necessarily appropriate for growing one at home.

Pot will eventually be so mainstream, for advice you'll only need to take your plant to Home Depot and ask for the old hippy guy who works in the nursery department.
Its okay. Hope you get the help you need. I had a rough start here but im getting proper help.

Yeah man those are just to give you an idea on how to maximize small spaces to their full potential. There are guides that use trash bins as their "bucket" so it's completely customizable. One thing to note though is to make sure you setup ventilation, even with clfs it's important. A couple quality pc fans work well with cfls.

Hello community i started this from seed 4 or so weeks ago and tried to "fim" it. It certainly worked for the bottom branches they went ape but can you tell whats going on with the top? First timer using seeds i was given. If my pics are good enough can someone tell me if this is indica or sativa? Does it look like its growing well.
Looks fine to me, It looks like its separating in to two shoots. It'll go slower for a while then catch up and take off.

Yea i was hoping for the motherload haha. Ive seen pics of 5 and 6 tops. Twos better than one and i needed to slow that down a tad anyway. Just today that has opened up much more than the pics on here show. I can almost watch this grow. Scares me though. Articles ive read say males are the fast growers. Time will tell. Thanks for replying!
