Examples of Democratic Party leadership

Here comes HR-1, it must pass, the actions of republican legislatures in suppressing voting make it imperative. Some republican states want to make it illegal to give water to voters standing in line and they want to make sure there are long lines. They also need a federal law for conspiracy to deny voting rights and damage democracy too, make them pay for even trying.

U.S. looks to Canada for minerals to build electric vehicles
On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Commerce held a closed-door virtual meeting with miners and battery manufacturers to discuss ways to boost Canadian production of EV materials, according to documents seen by Reuters. A source who attended the meeting said there was no indication that the Commerce Department would offer financial incentives for new mines or other supply chain components in Canada. But department officials did stress the need to act now to build a U.S.-Canada EV supply chain, much like Europe has been doing and Asia has already done, according to a second source who attended the meeting.

Conservationists have strongly opposed several large U.S. mining projects, leading officials to look north of the border to Canada and its supply of 13 of the 35 minerals deemed critical for national defense by Washington. Tesla Inc, Talon Metals Corp and Livent Corp were among the more-than 30 attendees at Thursday’s meeting who discussed ways Washington can help U.S. companies expand in Canada and overcome logistical challenges, according to the documents. The event comes after U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau committed last month to building an EV supply chain between the two countries.

We do the processing like in China, they better come up with better refining methods! Trader Joe is trading excess vaccines for Canadian minerals and for Mexico to keep migrants away from the border. Better than Traitor Donald and Aluminum tariffs I suppose.

No, the people that use government to control the flow of money want to use the minerals for their own profit.

"The U.S." is a an erroneous descriptive term applied to a diverse group of people who all happen to reside on the same violently controlled piece of dirt. I realize it's common to describe the wants and needs of all of those diverse people using the descriptive term, "the U.S." but in reality that's a bullshit term used to manufacture false consent.

You're welcome.

We made a deal 20 years years ago to supply the US with the oil they needed. Swap that for the minerals I now guess. Hope we get 20 years out of it.

Looks like the democrats are gonna go for the big push, fuck the filibuster, they've gotta have HR-1 anyway, might as well go for broke, if yer gonna break the filibuster. Perhaps pot might be a good issue to have on the ballot for 2022, it will divide the republicans far more than the democrats. These assholes only care about themselves for the most part and many of them smoke pot, freedom shit like guns and masks! Pot might be a good election issue for 2022, it has 67% support and that could go as high as 70%+ by election day, republicans are almost divided down the middle over the issue with a growing minority favoring legalization.
